Dodge revealed the 2015 "Worlds Fastest Sedan" today

Anybody else notice that it looks like the Challenger is getting a little wheelspin? There's a couple faint black strips on the pavement following the car that you can just see from the roof cam during both runs:shock:

I'm pretty sure my 16y/o XJ could have made a quicker pass............

The over hyped Chrysler is gonna go down, like the Viper did.

Nevermind the fact it's a Chrysler... horsie power does not rule.

One of my favorite Motor Trend editor quotes was about the Tesla P85D that the Hellcat is racing.

**Talking about an off the line launch.

"The torque impacts your body with the violence of facing the wrong way on the train tracks when the whistle blows."

-Kim Reynolds

Not to take anything away from Dodge; but where I live, you're lucky to find a straightaway that's 1/4 mile long. Around here, it's all about handling, if it doesn't corner and brake well, it's useless. No different than bikes, anybody can turn on the gas in a straight line.

i got to hand it to dodge. the two 707 cars have amazing exhaust notes. better than most aftermarket systems:shock:

Dodge proves its 204 mph claim

The driver in that video has no idea what they're doing. Big burnout on street tires, gee I wonder why it had no traction and spun down the track. Lol.

The real aftermarket parts are already in R&D so the few weak links, which every car has a at least a few, will be covered soon. It's a great street strip car, with a warranty.

Which is badass IMHO. Would make a great daily, so ya don't put miles on your race car.

Vroom vroom

E85 performs much differently on boosted cars than NA your 200 has.

900hp will be easier, but the amount of torque gains will be outrageous.

Also if you are not tuned for E85 and use the factory tune, you won't gain any power at all.

The car wont run :lmao:

I will be keeping an eye out for any hellcat salvage motor,it will fit nicely under the hood of my 05' rumble bee and I could sell my 6.1 motor project. Keep an eye out for me.

Well, that Hellcat that wrecked up in Colorado is supposedly for sale now and the one that attempted run vs the Tesla will probably end up wrapped around something before long"thumbsup":ror:

im shooting one of these here hellcats this week for an online giveaway promotion.

The Dodge Viper might be getting a little more venomous and more horse power in the near future thanks to a return of the performance-honed ACR trim. According to an anonymous source leaking the info to Allpar, the version would go into production in July as a 2016 model year vehicle.

FCA US showed a concept for a future ACR (pictured above) at the 2014 SEMA Show that sported carbon fiber parts for the front splitter and dive planes, plus a picnic-table-sized rear wing. The body also received ducts at the rear to shoot cool air to the differential. A set of 15.4-inch carbon-ceramic brake rotors also brought things to a halt in a hurry. The company promised all the aero pieces were sculpted in the wind tunnel to give the coupe even more downforce. To shed weight, engineers chucked the radio, speakers, carpet and sound deadening out of the interior, and they replaced many bits with even more carbon fiber and rumored to be packing over 800 Horsepower under the hood.

All of the tweaks are necessary because the ACR moniker carries serious cachet for the Viper at the track, especially at the Nürburgring. One reportedly did a 7:22 lap around the 'Ring in 2008, and another improved that further to 7:12 in 2011.

We reached out to FCA US for comment about the possibility for the hotter Viper, but the company wasn't willing to comment about any possible, future projects.

I like the InvsiHood.
we had a contract with a local dodge dealer to lease the only red one in the state, and the asshole tried to triple the rental fee and added a ton of limitations to what we could do to/with the car.

so my photographer found another in nashville of the color and drivetrain we wanted and bought it with cash... then drove it up over the weekend. already has a guy in germany lined up to buy it for something like triple what he paid.

i dunno. but them being dicks worked out killer since we get to use this car as we see fit without having to stand behind a f'n velvet rope.

I always wanted to build one of those 2.3 turbo engines, ever since i seen a few at an nmra vs nmca .thats a clean arse fox body too.

Depending on your goals, I'd bet that you can build a motor with more power than the hellcat's for way less money. The name alone will make these mills pricey for quite some time. Also, the electronics to run that motor, and take advantage of all the goodies is still an unknown at this point. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. LOL

What are the details of your 6.1 Build???

I ran across this video the other day. Pretty funny. kinda dumb at the end, but the first three tips are spot on. lol..

NSFW. for those with virgin ears, there are bad words used. LOL.
