Finally done making parts for my clod

Sorry espee fan we are from Clackamas Oregon is there a Clackamas in wisconson? Just got done rebuilding the truck installed the steel 6-32 ball ends and also the hitec 5995 servos, well worth the investment. I am hoping I have eliminated all of my weak links on the truck but more bashing of the truck will tell. I did a finale weight in on the truck it is right at 13 lbs  thanks again everybody for the great comments. :-P

Oops, my fault. I read 62PYRO's location as Milwaukie and overlooked the different spelling. We have a Milwaukee in WI, and while I don't know if we have a Clackamas in WI, since the two of you seem to be good friends, I assumed you were both from WI. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Oh well, still an incredible truck. Looks like I'll have to crawl alone for a while longer.

I blew both servos by stripping one brass gear. It happend when the wheel got stuck in a crack in the rocks while I was still trying to turn.

I must say, Hackster and I just saw this rig in person today, and we were FLOORED! This is an absolute work of art. The portals are simply amazing. Complete A+ in craftsmanship. Outstanding! Can't wait to see it go!

This is what I pray for everynight. Hoping it will show up on my door step.

But some how it never happens, But I have may dreams. No can take that from me.:flipoff:

Portals Are Still in testing phase every thing is working perfectly!! and yes the portals will bolt up to a set of stock clod axles. I have really been thrashing on the truck I have broke every thing that is Plastic on the truck. This weekends carniage was a busted rear Shock. So I bought a set of rear 1/8 scale Mugen Seki shocks, Those things are massive If I break one of those I need to stop crawling or learn how to drive better. I am entering my first comp this weekend will have to see how the truck preforms. Thanks again everybody for the great comments on the truck:)

Like everyone else has said, incredible craftsmanship!! I'd be interested in the portals if you ever sell them.

I suggest learning how to drive.:flipoff:

outstanding work. one question/suggestion.... what spring rates and oil are you guys running in your shocks? it seems the trucks would benefit from more axle control... some stiffer springs and 80 weight might be just the ticket...

yup you got it those are old pics. I am now running 1/8th scale mugen seki buggy shocks at all the corner. I used 70 weight oil and medium tension springs. the stock shock were just to puny with the massive weight of the truck. handles great now only thing I would change is I need to make new lower shock mounts so that I can mount the shocks backward to reduce my cog.
I also had to beef up my upper link mount mounting point I kept loosing the bolts and the mount would pivot.

nice work il take a couple of those skid plates. i can do vinyl siding that good metal work too just wrong kind of metal. lol nah real nice job on that stuff.

The truck is at Moab right now to see how much interest there is about the portals here is the latest look for the alumi clod http://rcrockgear.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=919

its set up with a stick chassie here is my solid model of the chassie and some build up shots
