FJ K2-3L Scale Build

I believe I cut out about 3 lugs worth. Basically I just cut it once then pulled it around a tire until it looked like it would line up well then I cut there, trimmed the lines straight and glued it together with 2-3 second CA. I think it is better to be a little tight then a little loose because you will have better hold to the rim. I also wanted to make sure they were short enough for scale comp use.

Just made my license plate, Thanks K9popo for the tip.

wow... that is looking better and better.

I always thought that 1.9in was a better 'scale' wheel than 2.2 because in 1/10th scale.. thats a 19in rim vs a 22in rim. Personally i have never seen a road registered 4x4 ....with 22in rims on it!
More often than not, when i see a 4x4 its got a 16in rim with HUGE sidewall tyres...so your moabs look very good IMO "thumbsup"

what rims are those on the truck?

They are off of my Tamiya F150 trophy truck. I agree, they look a lot more scale.

I love that color! I was going to use that for my hummer but decided to go with silver. Looks very clean. Looks good! One of the coolest fj's i've seen

Bumpers getting painted up, this is what a guy who owns a bike shop does in the winter when its slow. Thanks K9popo, awesome job!
Yes I know the picture is a little hard to see, sorry.

Mahalo for the info on the tire narrowing!"thumbsup"

I agree the 1.9" wheel has a more realistic look to it!

Got Me almost wanting to give it a try myself:shock:

Bumpers looking good.

OK well I thought I had a usb cable at my house and guess what, I don't. So that means that you will learn a good lesson in patience this weekend because I won't be able to take pictures until Monday when I'm back at work. Until then I would suggest you practice your Kung Fu and pass the time watching The Protector, seriously more broken bones than you could ever believe.

By the way, its awesome! And the rear bumper with the swing out is amazing.

The Protector has to be the most action packed kung fu that I've ever seen. I loved that show, and I love that dang elephant too :-)

Hurry up with the pics!!!!!

So I figured out the camera at home and here's some pictures of the bumpers. I don't really know what to do next besides interior so any suggestions would be cool.
