will a nitro engine run with a hole in the top of the piston? i traded an old nitro to a guy it ran great. i ran about a tank of gas thru it and it ran fine in front of him before i traded it to him. He took it home suposedly ran 1 tank of gas through it and he said he took out the glo plug and there is a hole in the piston, but it still runs just not right. I have had this plug in for some time and it worked fine...now he calls 3 days later and says the "hobby guy" said i had the wrong plug in the whole time.

No if the piston in a nitro engine has a hole in it the engine wont run wont run. I know I blew a hole in the piston of a helicopter engine. It definetly never ran again.

with a hole in the piston the engine will produce no vacuum or compression and should not run, if my some miracle it does it will be horrible at best, and anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something.

the guy took it home and over leaned the motor or sucked a rock through it and is trying to get his money back cause he's a tard

He says it still runs with a hole in the piston? Unless this is some kind of magical motor, it will not run with a hole in the piston. It needs compression to run.

that is what i thought. when i sold it to him thursday, we met in a large parking lot. i was doing donuts with the car. we traded my running car for a couple of nonworking rc and he took his xtra glo plugs he had for the other engine. i am thinking he put the wrong plug in it.

its funny, after he called me stating that there was a hole in the piston he has it for sale on craigslist......sumthin funny is up...
