Here is my car, took some pictures today

First of all, RANOVRU, you need to wake the hell up ant realize the times man. A 2.5 liter GT motor is NOT a gas miser. It makes 200 horse and gets 18 miles per gallon when you take it easy. Secondly, it is a known fact that imports are every bit as fast as V8 cars these days. Here is a little wakeup call for you:


Fastest street legal import: 7.87 @179mph

Fastest all motor Import, front wheel drive: 9.57 @158mph

Fastest Front wheel drive import: 6.23

WAKE UP, QUIT LIVING IN THE 70's, AND SEE WHERE TECHNOLOGY HAS GONE. THIS GOES FOR MOST OF YOU IGNORANT PEOPLE.

And as for telling me not to post it because it is not crawling...... I BELEIVE THIS IS A DISCUSSION SECTION FOR ALL THINGS NOT CRAWLING RELATED MORRON.

That having been said, thanks to the people that put sun screen on their necks..... either that or you have more than a dirt feild to work in!

Another thing, you say imports and ricers suck? And its all about american muscle and V8 power etc? Why dont you do some research and see what the comp crawlers are running for engines etc. It sure aint big blocks and American Racing wheels.

Now, that having been said, any one of you ignorant people that want to continue to run their mouth, just tell me when and we will set up a big money race, nothing less than 500.00 cash. Put up or shutup.

crawlerman, what happened? Saturday you were so laid back and fun. Now you sound a little stressed. Let people run their mouth, who cares. The car looks good, like others have said though, not my cup of tea.

If your stress level is to high, I can bring the TXT over and run your Chevy over again:lol:.
 
YES!! That would help me out emensly! We should do that again, that thing was pretty capable for what it was/ wasnt. I origonally brought it because I sold the clod, just to mess with somthing until I figure out what to build next. As it turns out it was great fun! I cant beleive a hobby town actually stocked a TA02 differential gear set. I was happy.

I dont know why I am stressed... When things are said about my car I take it very personal, because that is my single biggest investment in time and money thus far.

I do have a KLZE on order.... I was getting the 2 confused. Suprised, not many people know that much, (engine code) The KLZE has just over 200 actually if I read right. Now, that accompanied with a 75 shot should get me moving. Then it is on to internal work! And I dont have a KLO3..... :twisted:

What is the difference in these two "facts?" What is the difference between the "Fastest all motor" FWD and the "Fastest FWD?"


And why are you yapping about straight drag numbers? When your "front wheel drive import" hits near the top NHRA dragsters, please let us all know. Imports are known for "smart" horsepower and handling outside of the "American norm," and this is where your debate should lye......................not in 1/4 mile times. In an "American muscle" versus " Import FWD horsepower" contest, you will lose for the next twenty years. To this day, the clique of "there is no replacement for displacement" still holds true.

Anyway, The difference in the above statement is that as stated, one is all motor, the other is whatever, nitrous turbo etc

Horsepower numbers meanNOTHING, its all in your power to weight ratio. Give me 350 horse, and take a chevelle or nova with 550 hp and I will give it a run for its money. Numbers mean nothing as far as horsepower is concerned.:roll:
 
You know more than you let on Scale Crawler.... this motor should handle my 75 shot in stock trim with no trouble at all. Why do you know so much about these cars, yet you come off as an errogent red neck? (no offense):lol:

Not everyone who drives a truck is a "redneck". Some of us just prefer different things.

Now I'm no expert, but don't Top Fuel and Funny Car run V8s? If the bangers are the wonder lust of engines these days, why don't the top guns of the sport run the bangers? Just wondering?
 
Like I said, when a FWD Import is on top of ANY NRHA chart, just let me know. Until then, your emphasis should be on tracks with lots of turns. :flipoff:
 
Same reason most people still run shocks on their sticks, they are afraid of change Dez,

It can and will be done, the fastest 1.5 leter in the world just surpassed 200mph. It is comming in time.;-)
