Ittybitty's BJV4 XR10

I really like your rig, Your truck made me wanna build a Xr for myself. I just don't wanna spend the money on another rig. My berg is finally working well.

Thanks! I'm patiently waiting for some 1" wide wheels to swap to instead of these that are .8". These seemed to work well with my Rovers but I think the wider wheels will help the BC's hook up a little more. They have a wider profile than the Rovers and these wheels make them somewhat rounded. I was holding off on trimming my Nova foams until I get the new wheels as well. That's part of the reason my foams seemed so stiff at the C4K comp this past weekend. I know several people were commenting on my setup...I was actually enjoying the way they were performing and believe it's going to take some time for those that haven't run them to understand that they don't have to fold over on every contour like the Rovers and Sedonas like to.

That being said I still understand that I didn't have them set up the best and I do intend on spending more time with them once my new wheels show up!

I think the cold had alot to do with the tires not working 100% Claws are definitely a a warm weather tire, not to mention memory foams get rock hard in the cold also.

I got some when they first showed up. I thought they workd great. The honeymoon lasted for about 3 weeks of practice and 2 comps. Then it was over. They wouldn't hook up for me anymore so I had to dump em'.

Recently I cut them up hoping they would make me happy again, but it still aint happening.

They are still on some wheels, and everytime I go to different rock, I try them. They just don't grip like they did during the break in.

I hope you have better luck "thumbsup"

Yeah the cold was playing hell with everyone's rig to some extent. I'm not running memory foams anymore. I currently have the firm inner and soft outer Nova DD's up front and the stock pink foams that come with the BC's in the rear. I've gotten to where I really like a firm foam in the rear.

Yeah I hope mine keep working like they are. I was able to get some more time in on Sunday at our local spot and even though it was a good bit colder than it has been the past couple times AND it had rained recently and even sprinkled while I was there they were pulling lines that I hadn't made before without a small rock for assistance or they were smoothing out another line. I'll make sure to keep the thread updated on my opinion of them...

I'll take them off your hands if you don't want em. I've sen these tires do amazing things, I do feel temp has ALOT to do with these tires working well.

I think with this weather you have to not run memory foams

As a matter of fact I actually pulled the memory foams out of the rear tires at the ETRC season opener at the Ocoee Whitewater Center back on Oct. 30. When I got there that morning I still had them installed cuz here at home the temps were still in the mid 70's but that morning when I took my rig out of the car the rear tires went from nice and squishy to something resembling wooden wagon wheels! Needless to say they came out very quickly.

I will definitely have a set of these. This tire/foam setup flat out worked. You don't see a bunch of wheel hop going on; these things roll very smooth. Look here in the video around the 1:40 mark you can see how smooth he progresses through gate 2 on the finals course."thumbsup"

Looking good Itty! Only 2 rovers? Going to do a sedona\rover combo? I like that setup. I won yesterday with it "thumbsup"

Santa showed up early then missed my house this year, but left a note that usps will be bringing my other Santa gift from somewhere in Cali.

Looking forward to actually meeting you and your rig at ECC

No sir...I made sure that I got the full set of 4 plus I have two left over from my original set. Im really looking forward to ECC this year too!

I need to pick up a set of front shafts as one of my stubs is slightly tweaked now. That's good though cuz I've just about got all the parts to throw together another complete pair of XR10 axles! Of course I'm still waiting on the VP gears though.

Good looking setup you got there!
Santa must have got those wheels early, everytime I check they are out of stock! Never thought to put the raw rings on there looks good!

Here's the last few goodies...I received a pair of DH II's and BLACK V4's in 1" with RAW rings.
