Jeep Grand Cherokee (Rick's Build)

haha, I'm definitely tuned in to this build. I've got one of those bodies! Its red though..

It looks so good scale. Mine doesn't look scale at all lol. Not to mention its mounted on the $50 New Bright Chassis Rockcrawler (which isn't so good comparatively) Its just great to see someone actually doing something great with this body.

I'm also working on a 1:6 WK, with a link to the thread in my sig. I know its not built from scratch (its got a Nylint chassis) but just in case you wanted to see a larger scale, figured I'd let you know. :)

Well, it looks like i'll be drooling all over the computer again. Can't wait to see how it turns out"thumbsup"

BTW- I think this is the first time my g/f has ever read a build thread over my shoulder... she said Rick is cute

The TLT kit finally arrived, Rick went to work on welding the spiders.

Lol, actually the bushings really do bind the axles up a lot. The custom shaft is just a hair warped causing it to bind really bad. Bearings are in this trucks future for sure.

Short update...

You can see the progress from the last update, Rick chopped the drive shaft to the proper size.

Rick took a break while I went to work on the upper link.

After grabbing something to eat, Rick went back to work on the suspension.

It was short lived however, Rick realized that he needed to install the steering servo before messing with the panhard.

A few bolts later.

Panhard rod is only temporary I plan to span it to the chassis rail and change the axle mount.

More later...
