Hi,

I come to remove dust on this post

Since it appeared, I ogle on Axial AR44 axle. They are potentially very interesting. I finally could get one of them to me!!

Step ONE : Have a AR44 axle

20170305_Rear-AR44-Axle_004.jpg

First problems:
  • They are too narrow (very too narrow)
  • The fixing of the lower links are brought closer too much
  • The fixing of the upper links will be complicated.

Thus step 2, printed parts … in coming

Those problems can be solved ;-)

AR44 vs AR60 : 50mm (2 inch) of difference ...

Thank you for that picture it tells me a whole lot more about the ar44 than I knew. 8)

It looks like the ar44 tubes could be cut and a pair of ar60 long side tubes drilled and glued over the ar44 housing would be a good solution, no? I've been very interested in the ar44 since it was released, hopefully it proves to be a good part even if all we use is the center section and gears.

Also I was surprised as I received the axle and which I saw his small!!

For the moment here my (expensive) solution, because it is necessary to make machine shaft longer.

I like that a lot. I'd take an upper link mount for sure. That is a good solution, does it mount to the original upper link tabs, it looks that way.

In theory, not of modification for upper link, it is just necessary to put the higher support and to bolt it. In practice, it will be seen whether that functions

I'm sure it will work if the printed material is strong enough. You think way outside the box just like I do. But you have the tools to make your thoughts into reality, I do not.

Hi,

I also print a plastik shaft to test all parts before made it in titanium.

Good job steph
3D printing is a good way for testing ideas
But sometimes it's expensive
I don't understand your Rear Axle shaft .......

Hi,

Assembly ok !!
Small corrections were made and definitive printing were launched. Axes titanium are also in the course of manufacturing (Thanks CREEPERBOB "thumbsup")
