Thanks everyone and soon as I get some free time I will start making some videos, spare time is limited so most of my spare time goes into construction of the track.
Looks real nice! My brother works in Beaumont, are you on the Houston Crawlers facebook group?
No I've been out of RC for 4 years now due to some family things and actually we no longer live in the Houston area, we are out past splendora, which is why I need a backyard course.
The water finally soaked in so it's time for some digging. I had to remove about an inch or two of the top mud, it was mostly from run off while building the boulders. I also dug out some pits that will end up being the water traps.
I used the excess dirt to bury the boulder edges that were still exposed. I also piled up the dirt for one more small rock that I will video the making of and post online as soon as the weather clears up, don't expect much I'm no professional youtuber.
After that I started installing some of the smaller rocks in the ditch, I have a variety of rocks I've collected from different locations. I also have some left over moss rock from past landscape projects.
I'm gonna make a few more of the rock slide areas, I'm keeping these small rocks loose so the leaves can be removed easily in the fall. Basically I cut small stairs into the sides and than just toss the rocks on the stairs. In the fall I can pick the rocks up clean the leaves and toss em back down.
I still have a few more moss rocks to install and scatter about, than it will be on to other details.
