I want a set of these but I am in Australia. Does anyone know a shop, that has them in stock, that will post to Australia ?

Cheers

Shorty

Shorty,

Contact Panther directly 1-866-700-8473 and ask for Kent of Melissa. Tell them I told you to call them directly and see if they will cover your shipping on these ;)

Jeff...i was dying to see you remark. naw In a true honest opinion, i have no opinion because i have never ran these tires, only watched them thanks to a neighbor at a local GTG:roll:. but i believe that these tires are the best yet and will be for some time. ill take these while you go for those imex's!

ordered mine yesterday and they shipped today should have them tomarow:shock:. now the wait for the next batch of spiders. going to stop by my foam shop and have a look might be making me some hybrids of my own.

I caught a break today and the rain stopped for a min and i finally got to test the new tires out a little bit.

I didn't get much time in just bout 5-10 min but all i have to say is WOW...
these truly are amazing!! the bite these things have at slow speed is unreal. i have never seen a tire like them.

At first reading all these posts, i just couldn't believe that the tire performed as well as everyone said, so i had to buy a set to try myself and.....

I WILL NEVER RUN A NOTHER TIRE AGAIN!! unless of course something better comes out

I cant wait to do more testing with them.

To boot customer service from panther is awesome!! one of my tires came with a side wall tear in it and no questions asked they shipped a new one out to me immediatly!!

THANKS panther for great support and unreal tires!! AWESOME!!

Well, I got to run my Cougars today as well as Claws. The following are my rig set up and findings.

GC2
Axial axles
3C lipo, FXR, 55t with 14/87 gearing, VF dig
Cougars on Comp Heavies, Red Hybrids in front (the tall ones) and Pink Hybrids in back (the tall ones...Reach I think they are called)
Claws on Solids, Reds in front (tall) and Pinks in back (tall)
Front tires weigh 12.5 ounces with tire, foam, rim and weight on each set
Rears are 9.5 ounce for Cougars and 8.5 ounces for Claws (each tire, rim, foam)
Rig weighs 5 lbs 13 ounces currently

The extra clearance of the Cougars is nice. They drive very well. The forward bite seemed good, but the Claws were better. I drove the same rocks...back to back and the Claws made a few long climbs that the Cougars would not. The Cougars did not seem as consistent to me. I think I need to do a little more tuning with them. I may try adding some weight to the front axle for them to see if that helps. They just seemed to slip a little more than the Claws....not sure what to make of it. I liked them, but need a little bit of tuning.

Also, what direction are people running these?

not my rig, but i run mine the opposite of this picture.

i feel that that little finger that goes across the tire with the half circle should be the ohter direction. if that makes sense

Rockbound....I run them the same direction as you. Just wondered if they would work any better the other direction. I run my Claws backwards and love them that way.
