I can tell you that it's nothing like that. Jason and Fishmaxx don't even vote. No corporate asked me to vote one way or another. Our true thought was for the sport. So you don't need to be spreading any shit like this on the wall.;-)

Good to know Rick, the problem with all of this brain damage and some old relationships being strained along the way. The fire started when a bunch of us old shafty freaks were admiring 4xFords amazing Sporty build thread. Problem was the information we all reacted to was that the deal was done bodiless chassis' are outlawed from Sportsman game over. We all said WTF is with that?

With Fishmaxx joining in yesterday I was much relieved to hear that the cake wasn't baked. He listened to what we were telling him and he was actually kind of on the same page emotionally.

I'm glad for the communications and the bottom line is clubs can do what's best for them.

I am feeling a little sorry today that I might have personally hurt some relationships around me. For that I'm sorry, my friend Ryan (BigBaller) gave me a slap up the head yesterday and made me realize this is all about toy trucks, when you think about it that's pretty crazy.

It's all about having passion for something and a bit of bad como IMO. That is a volitile combination.

I'm done with this, for me it's over. I will wait and see what happens, your comments Ricky are appreciated your one smart TOkie (Texas/Oklahoma). "thumbsup"

I get it. We old schoolers had the most fun when we were starting out years ago before bodiless trucks came out (save the metal tuber), so let's make the class somewhat similar to the look and specs from the time period of our high point of enjoyment.

And we need a 14'r class still.
Welcome to class 3 scalers!!!! Metal tubers and 4ws. Come on over PeePee. "thumbsup"

Farts don't hit ninja's :flipoff:

Why do people think a body means lexan? No vision? Here is my bodied rig. :flipoff:

I could care less about any corporate bullshit--really..

Me either, unless there is negative affects

I am a very avid DIE HARD crawler guy. I help manage and run the largest crawler/scaler club in the state of washington. I also make every comp that we have.

I'm with you there too, though ours may not currently be the largest in our state.

I have no idea where this "appealing to anything corporate based" came from because thats simply not true and I am not here to bullshit anybody.

I do,it was certain wording,in certain posts...I personally think its about a nastalgia class. But after rereading those posts,I can easily see how duuuude can come to such an opinion.

We are simply setting up a new national based class and one that has its limitations and more based on the old school setups.

Fact is,it will be the "most" restrictive class "if" bodiless chassis are restricted.

If a driver is good they will drive "anything" good.

I disagree whole heartedly

Super is a darn good class, and it is fun,but I dont find a strong desire to spend $$$ build or compete in that class..1.9 is also a fun class, and though I find it very fun,and have brought many drivers localy to the class,it simply doesnt spark the interst to most the way 2.2 pro does....as such it is typically wealer in comparison

I have no desire to spend $$ build or compete in a nastolgia class,it simply doesnt interest me...

as such

I will not be setting up courses,or judging,or pointing lines to new guys
for this class....Instead my attention will be in the classes that my heart currently lies.
other local may,but my limited energy will be focused toward the classes that I'm excited about, and I was excited about sportsman.....you guys have put that fire out here before I even got it built....with this out of left field decission

Now an all out sportsman class...that interst me....and many others....alot!!
and our clubs will grow in enthusiasm, and members with such a class IMO
It would be sad to miss/or fumble such an oportunity

My heart lies in all the class's. Its a "club" effort not a "class" effort that I strive for.....

I'm sure alot of guys are like that.

I'm also sure alot more are not like that

there is only one of me....my time and energy will be focused on whats fun for me.....and I would expect nothing more from other club leaders.
If we are not innto it...nobody new will be into it either and that = failure for that class on a local level
which will equal failure on a national level.....a class you have to nurse along

2.2pro wouldnt be the only premier class if everyone felt/did same as you
all the classes would be fairly equaly strong in members and producy support

A class you want to have a good start out of the gate....and have continued stamina..will include bodiless...
anything less is a tragety IMO

IO don't agree. We have a decent sportmans class and all of them run bodies "thumbsup"

Also 2.2 is equal to our 1.9 class and we can easily get over 60 cars at any one comp.

Those who want to drive will and you can't change my mind on that "thumbsup"

those who want to drive....but what DO they want to drive...we want to drive bodiless:)
and it doesnt matter who runs bodies.....what matter is why cant we run bodiless
just cuz this wont affect YOUR club...doesnt mean it wont affect others

we have a few "purists" who still run shafty/body...one guy is a hrad core pursit

even he understand some of us guys like our bodieless, and thinks this ruling stinks

where is your super numbers at?
Is it as strong as your other classes?

I am just "telling" you my side--take it for what its worth.

Our super class is the smallest class mainly because its the most expensive of the bunch. Again thats fact and nothing more from my side.

Very nice video's by the way,iys cool you guys post so much video"thumbsup"
You guys have some nice comp spots;-)

yeah,I know its a mix of ideas....we all typically speak from our point of views, thats expected.

But by running body and bodieless,as we do in the other classes seems most inclusive and fiar...and best for interst, competition

excluding either IMO is way of base...but its just my point of view.

But hey...I didint see any sportsman video? they didint look mixed with 2.2pro..those all looked like lcc's

Thanks. I am the busy beaver on comp day--not only running 2.2/super and soon 1.9's plus video.

Our sportsmans are intertwined with the 2.2 and they run the first 5 gates and that might change after its an official class(there own course's).We also have a number who run "pro" class car but continue to run sportmans(like losi's). We might just run that class how we have been and make our own judgement's based off our members wish's.
