Pham's VP Axial SCX-10 JK Jeep Wrangler Unlmited Rubicon - Unlimited Budget Project

I'd like to thank you, Michael Pham, for your patience and diligence with this project.

While I probably won't go this far with my soon to be arriving SCX10, you've provided me with a substantial list of things I could do should I want to take it further that what it is when it arrives.

Great project, strong work. "thumbsup"

Thank You, and I'm really glad I was able to help in your future build. If you're interested check out my other build it may or may not give you some more ideas :) http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axia...-axial-scx-10-jeep-wrangler-g6-kit-build.html

Hey guys I know it has been a good while since I have done something new to the Shelf Queen VP JK but I really wanted to share with you guys something that is all new and one of my favorite part on this Jeep.

It's VP Poison Spider Brawler Rocker!!! Soon to be out and I'm very excited to have one of the first one out in public!!!! Please let me know me what you guys think.

Here are the step by step instructions on how I installed them:

As always VP always takes care in their packaging. Notice this one doesn't even have a part number on it yet ;)

Please note the original Axial Rock sliders on the rig... man will this little kit give this Jeep a whole new look.

Parts all spread out, looks like a lot of parts to this contraption hmmmmm. :)

More Before Pics:

Now to make things go a little more smoothly I had to disassemble some parts to get it prepped for the new parts.

Also Removed the Motor/Tranny just so it's all out of the way.

Old VP rock slider mount VS the new mount.

Notice the difference in the amount of kick up on the new ones vs the old ones. There's also a big difference in length.

Yummy new rock sliders :) notice that there is a left and right side to them.

Also notice the included 0.035 set screws that are used to replicate the 1:1 part.

Installed!!!

Looks good right??? But we are far from being done.

I then pre installed the Aluminum Tabs which is a key element to this product :)

hmmmm Poison Spider.

Delrin plate is also included so electronics could me mounted on too!

Almost done!

Last thing to do!!! A little trimming of the body to get this thing sitting right.

Finished Product!!!!! I freaking love the way this thing looks. I love how high and tight it sits and it hold the body so darn tight and well. No more flopping sides on this body. :)

Guys Please comment and let me know what you guys think. I'm very happy to be able to share this with everyone. This NEW VP part will be coming out soon so please be on the look out. :) Thank You

Those look sweet, I imagine they would look awesome even with just the bottom piece on for people not using the JK body.

Thank You glad you like it.

At first i was like, eh, but when the side piece went on, and bam, those things are cool. Very nice.

Matt, side piece sure does set it off and it does an awesome job holding the side of the body which no other slider in the market does.

Very nice"thumbsup" Those are sick. Wonder if they will be avail for the G6?

At this moment I'm not sure if they there will but a set for the G6 Jeep but you never know and I would love a set like these on my G6 Jeep.

Looks like a must have item for my kid's JK!
Damn they look so nice.

Heck ya your kid would love the way these thing look on their rig.

Absolutely awesome .I see these going onto my wife's rig

She'll be one lucky wife :)

Those look really nice on your JK. Entire Jeep looks amazing.

Thank You for the kind comment. SF is my hometown!

"thumbsup"

been waiting on these...

Same here I'm so glad to finally have a set. Jim teased me with them a while back with the first proto type.

That's exactly what my jk needs. Looks great Pham

Martin it has been too damn long since you been out of the RC thang. You should consider going to Axial Fest this year.

Those are rad!

BuIlT nOt BaUgHT!

Agreed!!!

Those look sweet, I imagine they would look awesome even with just the bottom piece on for people not using the JK body.

I was surprised how good they looked with just the slider piece that's why I snapped a picture of it with the body on while putting them together.

They look killer.

Mike, I agree with ya.

When this can be released? I want those..

They will be out very soon please be in the look out on Vanquish Products website.

Thank You for all of the awesome comments guys they are very much appreciated. I'm also very stoked with the amount of positive comments about this new product on RCC, Facebook, and at the last GSRCC Scale Endurance that everyone got to see in person yesterday. VP definitely did an awesome job on these sliders.

If I remember correctly from back when I spent a lot of time figuring out the best setup: 1) Torque twist tends to lifts the front passenger side wheel so... 2) The motor is typically the heaviest item depending what kind of battery you're using. So having the motor on the passenger side rather than the Driver side (stock setup is driver side), would use motor weight to fight against Torque Twist. 3) Last with the transmission facing forward (stock is the transmission face to the rear) the rotation of the motor fight against the torque twist rather than with. I could be wrong about this but I spent hours messing with mirroring and flipping on my fastest rig and found that my current setup is the best to jump the rig flat and corkscrew in mid air due to torque twist.

As for the OD HD I want speed gears without having to use such a big pinion gear but a small pinion gear so the motor doesn't hit the rear upper link mount screw/nut.

Haha the mailman would see all of my rc (1/5 scale to 1/24 scale) outside so often that it's just normal to him and all of my neighbors.

I would love to work on people rigs to do wiring jobs. PM me when you're ready and we could work something out. I have done several people rigs and have never had one people not happy with my wiring work.

I enjoyed doing it to my real cars so rc is a lot easier for me. Here's an example of one of my work on one of my project back in the day 1991 Nissan 240sx SE with a S13 SR20DET motor swap, wire tuck and extension, and several other mods :)

Before and after pics.
