Tire Foams Rant

I’m trying the hair buns, but in my wheels/tires, they look weird.
Kinda looked like motorcycle tires as the faces of the tread were very rounded.
Not sure if that is normal.
These are the RC4WD Baja X tires

Until I find out if this is OK, I took my Amazon dual stage foams and horizontally took out 3mm holes… 24 per foam by using some home made hole saws… which I also used to vent the tires.

I have issues with the price you are paying for RC tires in general. I mean everything is going through the roof but if I can get 10" tires for my lawn cart for $3.99 each and tires for my car last time I bought them were $50 each rc tires being $50-100 for a set of 4 seems like a rip off in the rubber per dollar ratio. I want to try out the silicone tuneable inserts sometime (can't remember what they are called...anti foam maybe) and also air filled like Gmade has but again $$ to start with.

The difference between the lawn cart tires and rc tires is demand. lawn cart tires sell more than rc tires because they have more customers. Rc is a niche market. Not as many customers.

Is it worth looking into cutting your own foams? Might not be as good as top of the line store-bought ones but would probably be better than hair buns. I've thought about 3d printing some guides for cutting my own but haven't gotten there yet.
