Nice ZUK....I'm still workin' on one myself. I did order me a set of the same Kawada wheels a few days ago....takes awhile for em to get here tho.

Makes me think that the ol' saying "on a slow boat from China" has some merit to it !! But I'm not sure if mine are coming from China or Japan...can't remember....

My 1:1 Samurai has 15"x12" wide Mickey Thompson wheels and 33"x15.50"x15" Swamper SX's on it...so I'm gonna have to widen those Kawada's a bit to get the look right...I guess. I plan on ordering the 1.55 Rock Stompers to try and match my Swamper SX's....they may look fairly close if I can get the wheels wide enuff.

Did you have to modify your 1.55 Tires to fit the Kawada wheels...or did they fit pretty good as is?

Let me know...if you get a chance.

Thanks
ARON

Good choice from Eddie to give you the Kawada-rims for the Zuk! Together with the tires it just looks scale!

Well it has been nearly a year since an update on this zuk but its officially winter here in LI (had flurries today) which means its time to get my scratch build on I have a A LOT of projects to finish, including my 4 door hilux build for Axial but to get myself back in the game I decided to get this interior finished on the zuk.

As you can see I have been hard at work

Luckily peanuts and coffee keep me going

1st up was some finishing touches on the Dashboard itself, including building up the steering column. I used a steering wheel from an Axial interior kit and detailed it to look like a GT Grant wheel

Using a an old priority mail box I made a template for the floor and cut out the center section to clear the trans. I then traced the template onto the styrene and cut it out accordingly. After that I made a trans tunnel to cover the mrc trans up.

Here is a better shot, notice the gear shifter (modded Axial shifter) and the twin stick transfer case. Also made a clutch/brake/gas pedal. I added some door panels to it and detailed them using the Axial interior kit door arm rest and window cranks

You may have noticed the console in the 1st pic, I tried to make it look like a tuffy console and it will house a CB radio courtesy Bowtie decal sheet when finished

Next up is to finish the details on the dash now that its painted. I have Bruiser gauge decals and cd player from Bowtie. Also have to add the o shit handle from the RPP Hobby scale interior parts kit. After that is all done it will get all assembled into the truck.

More to follow

-Mike

Thats a great looking dash! A small bench seat in the back would be cool. I'll be lurking around to see who you do a bench, I'll need to build one for the back of my 4doorlux. Awesome work as usual! I don't know how you work on so many rigs.

I have to work on so many truck otherwise I get burnt out working on just one...On the bench currently is:
4 door Axial Hilux build
A new YJ build with the rear sitting on the bench in pieces
a partially assembled Bruiser chassis
TLT Bruiser hybrid Hilux
Bruiser bodied bruiser chassis and rummy axles yota build

Tons of builds, just not enough time...although with my new career and the shift work I am going to have days off during the week, so while everyone else is at work/school ill be in the basement building like whoa

AWESOME DETAILS....as in all of your builds bro !

You're inspiring me to get my Samurai TinTop build out and do some more work on it.

I'm just like you...in that I've gotta have about 10 or more builds going on at the same time so that I can jump around a bit...when I get burnt out or frustrated...or bored...with one of them.

I did build an SCX Avalanche from start to finish yesterday though !!
