Default Losi MRC Suzuki Samurai Now with 1.5s

Picked this up last friday, as an early "merry x-mas present" to myself and boy I am glad I did... I was messing around with it in the basement and its gonna be a real fun rig.

Specs are:
Losi MRC
TCSCrawlers L trail chassis
Internal spring front shocks
Custom made rear leaf spring suspension set up
Sammy body with custom rear drop bed and cage
TCSCrawlers wideners
custom front bumper and winch
Hummer wheels

Plans are:
Finish interior
Add headlights
Rock sliders
Rear bumper with spare tire carrier
Rc4wd prowler tires
and then???

Thanks for looking
Mike

I pay for photo bucket, plus I would rather not waste RCCs bandwidth...if I uploaded all the pics I actually take onto rcc it might explode...probably not...but still

I can't wait to see what you do w/the interior.

I have a set of Prowlers in good shape that I just swapped out for Mud Thrashers on my clone. LMK if ya need em

The body comes with this spare tire thing (like a hard shell cover for the spare) to mount on the rear tailgate. The fender wells like that peice cut in half. Great ideal!!!!

Been working on this all day today, was up to 3am last night messing with it...I always feel better working on something when I know I can stop and drive it still. I hope to get this thing out soon.

Anyways, I finished the headlight conversion, gotta love Hilux roll bars lights. I also added the bezel back in, used a silver sharpie marker.

I then swapped in some prowlers, had to trim the beads to get them to sit right on the hummer wheels.

I am thinking of going with propane injection on this one, the hobby gear scale parts are just the right size for this rig

After web wheeling google yesterday, looking at all the cool sammys, I found quite a few with windshield mounted KCs. I had done that on my real CJ-7 and thought it would look cool on here. The Hilux lights were to big, so I busted out some the ScaleOffRoad's KCs, made a small bracket and was good to go.

I have also been going crazy with the panel pen, adding in all the door lines, tail gate, winshield, hood etc

Thats it for now, back to work

Thanks for looking
Mike

Hows about a naked pic?
I stalled out on my FJ L-trail project...
this is giving me the inspiration to finish it off!

Cool project. I cant wait to start my MRC samuria.

Your project is pretty scale to my 1:1 sami. These two pictures are good comparison.

Too cool Mike!!

Now I'm thinkin a build using bruiser leafs to replicate the YJ spring swap. I've got a K2 Point Five that'll work great for this.
