| Stu's Truggy update/backdate
Backdate: Going back to 1.9's and the old much-abused F-350 body. Update: It's getting a big block Super-detailed Bartos Big Block resin kit, starting with a dual-plane intake: Changed the Chevy-ish water pump to a proper Blue Oval unit, mixed Microballoons with the paint to get an as-cast finish on the block, heads and intake. Even added the timing tab. Topped it off with a big Holley. The whole engine compartment will get done up, down to coil-primary and alternator wiring. Also figured out a way to get a complete interior in, so I'll work on that as well. The truggy will finally live up to its potential. |

The jets are in the metering plate between the bowl and the body, if I remember my Holleys correctly. If it makes you feel better, I did add the sight glass on the side of the bowl, though. Robbob, it's a real truggy. Got Badd's approval and everything. Took a little sledgehammering, but the oil pan clears the upper links. Started on the engine compartment. The radiator is a chunk of corrugated aluminum cut from the Tamiya box trailer. Damn rocks split the welds on the drivers side Hood still fits. Might use some Losi Micro body posts as hood pins, if I can find 'em. Wild Willy shifter ball makes a good thermostat cover. Now the rivet counters can really start their pissing and moaning. Yeah, that's a Pajero dashboard. Deal with it. I put too much work into it to let it rot away in the parts box. |

Lovin' that scale motor and all the details you've added, as well as the little touch of the split pinch welds on the front fender, the home built exhaust system, and lastly that door panel and missing inner door frame is the SHIZ..!! hmmmmm now there is something I haven't seen done, inner door panel in a raw door paneless state...Very original and also very stolen now my favorite part is the exhaust manifold collectors, are there gaskets in between them Stu? Last edited by 1BadJeepBruiser; 12-13-2009 at 08:55 PM. |

Feel free to steal, Mike. We all do it sorry, bad focus. Door panels installed Engine compartment preview. Got the power steering pump in, still need to mount the alternator (after I make it) and do some weathering. Peeking thru the fenderwell Overall progress |
