Looks really cool with the exo cage on there. Are you going to add tubing to the front, to look like the cage and front bumper are welded together? Sent from my 2500HD |

Very nice job Thomas! Really like how u got the trans, etc to work better for you although you could build another truck with parts left over. Lol. Anyways thanks for sharing your awesome truck. P.s. Love the exhaust. |

It is time for something new. The Trail Hilux becomes a Chase Truck. I know, normally a big full size truck like a Fort F250, Dodge RAM Mega Cab or a Chevy Silverado is used for build up a Chase Truck but, I found that even the Hilux does good off road, it would be better towing my Truggy and beeing a Chase Truck carrying all the spare tires, Fuel Jug, Tools and all that Kind of stuff. Beeing decided, I Need a hitch. So I cut off my steel bumper and attached a rear bumper from a Trailfinder 2. The attached hitch is just tentatively. I will replace it with a nicer one soon. To support the rear end when towing my heavy truggy, I swapped out the soft leaf pack and made a stiffer leaf pack for increased load. A Chase Truck needs a Chase Rack. So I ordered one from RC4WD. I really love that work from CChand. :nice: I will fab all the tube work to carry the Spare Tires, the Fuel Jug, Hi-Lift, Jerry Cans, tools and all the other stuff that typically a Chase Truck carries. So more to come soon. Even with my heavy Truggy almost no sag at the rear end. |
