Go to the local auto parts store and dig in the trash cans outside. Look for some used windshield wipers so you can make some simple fenders.

I did some paint detail to try and make it seem more real. It was looking like a box.

Finished the air tank for the ECTO-1. Yes, the ECTO-1 had two air tanks, mine will have one big one. Oh well. Also painted the spare.

There it is, my take on the ECTO-1. All that is left is to have Rolandrockshop wire the lights. I also have to install the new motor/esc. This was a fun build, but it was a tuff build. I appreciate the "likes" and "comments". It's nice to have support from those in the know. I hope the build represents more than "a rebodied" SCX. I put a lot of work into it and it has been in the back of my head for a while. I'm excited to see it under its own power with the lights flashing.

Thanks.

I need to record it on my phone and play it when I drive it. I thought about getting one of those cards you can record a message on, record the horn and then you could press it when you wanted it.

Thanks. I really did try to capture ECTO-1 the best I could. It rolled around in my head so long, I knew what I wanted.

Thanks. I was really hoping to get some pre-runner vibe in there.
I will say, this is a good body. Seems really thick/heavy. I've hacked and drilled the shit out of it and it's still solid. I've considered getting another one, painting it black and running the hell out of it on some 1.9's.
