whats the wheelbase on this? and also, is there a lot of clearance on the underside of the body because of the interior? (like space for taller trans and stuff...)

Wheelbase is right at 10" and there is no room under the interior. It's like Tetris under there trying to get an fxr and 1300 battery to fit.

Scroll back a few posts and look at this pic and the underbody shots.

Nah, I made that mistake once before, once you flat fender it it just breaks off totally. I'm going to shoegoo in some reinforcement on the seams where it broke. Besides who doesn't love a Tj with full fenders!

You can try using sheetrock tape ( woven kind) with the shoe too to help reinforce

The goof off left a few places a little ruff, not sure what my plan is for those areas yet. Been thinking about going flat black on this one loping the "bad" edition new brights.
Never thought of lighter fluid. I will definitely try that on the next one. Brake fluid is messy, and made the body brittle.

I added small pieces of styrene to my hilux body that kept breaking the fenders off. I bet doing that with the screen material would make it that much stronger.

What's the height to the skid on yours? Mines setting right at 2.75 inches, looks high to me.

Smaller shocks, running droop, or custom shock mounts? Only way I can get mine down that low with stock style shocks is only running one spring in the dual stage springs. I was thinking about doing that and running bumpstops. Downtravel is more important anyway.

Stock single rate from a deadbolt up front and dual rate with the top spring removed and a custom mount on the rear

Nice, the single spring dual rate is my plan also. Need to weld up some shock mounts though.
