| Toy zuki 4Runner build.
I’m so lost as to where to put this but I’m pretty sure this will be on 1.5’s so I figure here’s not a bad place to set it. I wanted to build another small tire rig and well I figured the toy zuki chassis would be a good starting point. I also knew I wanted the tires to tuck in as far as possible with any body I was going to use so I strapped a pair of mst axles under it. Then rc4wd made an announcement of the 4Runner body so here we are. A toy zuki mst 4Runner. Far from finished but decided I should at least get a post going about it. Had some links laying around so it got mocked up to about 12.5 wheelbase. Then the 4Runner arrived. I am going to have to shorten the links a bit to fit the body since the 4Runner shell is tf2 wheel base. But here’s some pictures during my body build process. That’s where I’m at currently. Working on mounts for the chassis currently. Once I get it mounted where I feel it’s good I can work on making links to get the axles in the right spot. Rc4wd did a great job on this as far as I can tell. The interior is amazing. Will definitely try and post up pictures as I get farther along. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

First attempted body mount/slider. Modified a version I found on thingiverse for the hilux. Unfortunately I didn’t take into account the rake of the chassis so I’m reprinting another with a tweak should fit up better. Then I can do the other side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got the correct angle on the slider/mount. Now to print solid versions so I can mount it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got one mount done last night. Warped a little on the printer so I’ll have to see if it fits after work tonight before doing the other side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Decent update. Got both body mount/sliders on the chassis. Fitted the body where I’d like and got links mocked up. Had to move the pan hard bar on the front of the axle mount to help line it up a little better. It’s not perfect but with the wheelbase and position it’ll have to do for now. On to the pictures. Got my Holmes motor today and installed my hobby wing 1080. Need a drop down servo horn and I can install the servo and make a steering link. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by lilws6; 02-08-2019 at 02:56 PM. |

With the shorter wheelbase came alignment issues. I had to move the pan hard mount back on the frame rail a little bit. So it hurt just a little to drill into this frame but everything lines up nicely now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Still pondering not thinking I can get any type of engine in here that would look scale with the servo in the way but I think I’ll at least have to make up some inner fenders. Still might see what I can do with a engine might just cut it around the servo we’ll see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got some used rc4wd shocks from a tf2 90mm rear 100mm fronts. Seems to sit alright. It’ll probably drop a little bit as well when I get some weight on it as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Still waiting on building materials to finish the links. Then I can hopefully get my battery mount finished and maybe get a small indoor test drive out of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Steering link materials came in today so I made those up quick. Also noticed my pinion angles are off as well now that everything is bolted up. Will have to shorten the upper links a little. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I guess I can call the chassis completed. Finished all the links today all the electronics wired up and work well. Battery tray is mounted. Think I need to go one step shorter on the shocks. Just driving in my basement all that weight of the body just flops around a bunch. Might have to scrap the rc4wd shock idea all together to have it perform like I want we’ll see after I can actually get it out for a drive. Next is to disassemble the body and paint. That might be a while yet as I’m still trying to find the right color to paint it and I want this one to be painted right. So I asked my body shop painter if he would paint it when he has time.
