I missed this thread for a while so I just went through and checked out what I missed. Great work Chris, that is an outstanding looking truck. I agree with another post I saw, I'd rather have yours than the 1:1, I like it better. |

| Small update..
Hey Guys, small update on this truck while I await the arrival of those SICK "Rock Monster" wheels from CadToChrome.. I needed to build up some sort of "aluminum" diamond plate tool box for the bed, and then start adding goodies to it.. Nothing real fancy here, just your basic styrene box..( that will open up). For the sides that won't be visible once installed, I used plain styrene, and for the rest I used some "diamond plate" styrene card. Heres the first "test fit" Everything fits like a glove, so now its off to paint.. I then had the chance to finally install the headlights .. ( still need to wire them up..) I "splurged" a little bit on this truck, and purchased one of Stefan's Kick-ASS looking "Scale Offroad" Hi-Lift jacks, which will really complete the overall realistic look once installed in the bed.. And heres how everythings taken shape in the back.. More to come soon |

I'm really starting to hate you Chris. (jk) The K10 is looking amazing, you have done a beautiful job. I'm really glad i decided not to do the U.A K10 as well like we talked about, because theres no way in hell mine would have come close to this. Everything looks prefect, I love the scale decals Last edited by Jester666; 04-07-2009 at 10:35 PM. Reason: me bad speller and have bad grammer :) |

| Update
Hey Guys, Update time...Back when this truck was first being built, I contacted my buddy Wes over at "CadToChrome" about making me a set of exact replica wheels like on the real 1:1 U.A. K-10.. Well - I finally got that long awaited package in the mail on Sat, and ALL I can say is these were 10,000% WORTH the wait.. These are bar NONE the coolest set of REAL 1.9" beadlock wheels I have ever owned..( Not to mention that at the moment they are the ONLY set of these wheels in existence..!!!! ) These came out SO SICK . Thanks again goes out to Wes, and the rest of the guys over at "CadToChrome". Heres the ones on the real truck... And these are the ones they custom made for me...( I also got the correct set of "Warn" hubs to go along with them too..) These wheels are such a unique 3 piece design, and the machine work on them is second to none - they really came out AMAZING... Here is one of the completed fronts with tire installed and detailed Warn hub. Before I took it out on its first real "Test Run" I packed the cargo box with some "needed" supplies.. Then I took a quick snap shot of the "Ultimate Adventure" garage... 4 Wheeling pics are coming up next- ( VERY Shortly) Stay Tuned........ Last edited by 51WillysJeep; 04-19-2009 at 08:29 PM. |
