Default "Ultimate" UPDATE..!!

Heres where we last left off.... The "Ultimate K-10" needed the "Ultimate" front bumper...Heres the 1:1 below

I contacted a fellow member on here "Robbob" (creator of project "Fun Buggy" in the 2.2" section) After seeing his tube chassis building skills, I knew he'd have NO problem making me the bumper I wanted, and Man- he did NOT Dissapoint..!! Heres what I recieved in the mail this morning...

This thing came out SICK..!! Thanks again Bob..!!

Next up was to test fit everything up front, and then get it ready for paint.. ( FINALLY..!! )

After a last final scrubbing with a clean scotchbright pad, It was off to the paint booth.. heres the first of MANY light coats of Yellow...

Fast foward like 6 hours now - Got the cab and bed ALL painted, and also painted and detailed the hand made grill

Then I started to detail the cab by adding the "Ultimate Adventure" windshield logo, and some chrome Chevy Mirrors, as well as final fitting the painted grill.

Then I assembled it all again - ( it looks SOOO much better being all ONE color now..!! ) but after seeing it, I wasn't feeling the wheels ( to "Blingy") SO, off they came in favor of some others until the correct ones show up...

Then came the part that tied the whole front end together on this truck- I assembled the freshly painted custom front bumper, with "Warn" fog lights, "Warn" winch, and some scale "D" shackles.

Still have more detail stuff to finish, but this trucks finally gettin' there..!! This things gettin heavy too.. I am running the shocks at full "Droop", which actually gives it the proper ride height just like the 1:1..

Heres a few 'poser" shots on the RTI ramp..Enjoy..!

Looks really good Chris Bobs tube work is AWESOME for sure, I am luck to have a piece of his work. His craftsmanship is right up there with Boyer and hulk and all those guys.

Great job so far! It's been too long since I last looked at this thread, skills on top of skills! Nice tailgate, did you make it or is it from the Parma '57 Chevy pickup? Either way, bad ass!!

Hey -Thanks Guys- Again, Robbob's work is Top Notch, and I too would put it right up there with the previous names mentioned as well..!

The black Wheels pictured are just a set of painted RC4WD truescale beadlocks, with a set of 62Pyro "Sally" rings..

And, truth be told - chino63 hit the nail on the head.. YES, I had planned on making a full tailgate from styrene, but due to complete lack of real time - I built the tailgate from styrene, and then I used a tailgate skin from a spare Parma 57' Chevy stepside body i had- BUT- I didn't think it was going to come out as well as it actually did. Truth be told, I'd do it the same exact way again given the chance to build another Chevy stepside..!!

More to come soon to finish this rig off, Then I can begin the "Ultimate Adventure FJ Cruiser" build..!!

you guys are making me blush ........ but Thank you.

it was my pleasure to help out

tell ya the truth, i would never had thought that tailgate was a lexan skin and i saw it in person. great job on blending it in

and the picture showing the truck on its roof for strength doesnt do justice. after seeing the truck im thinking a 4ft fall wouldnt even hurt this thing. this whole truck is just built solid like a hardbody.
