[QUOTE=4wd4ws;1931736]Thanks,man.
I'm familiar with upscaling models but i'm not sure how it would help me with this build?
This is purely based on my imagination since it's my entry for a SF/Apocalyps build-off.

no prob i thought you might have taken this build from an italia model... hmm i am going to build a dodge military ambulence when i get the chance.

You mean Italeri? Now that's a compliment!

(no upscaling or anything just a mishmash of ideas)

I've built a ton of their (airplane)models when i was a kid.(other brands too)
Me and my kidbrother used to buy all the cheapies in the discount bin and blow them up with fireworks.Good times/good memories.

Is this M80 a practice grenade with a fuse?
We used something similar except there is no fuse.It works like a match.
Don't be fooled by the size these things are really powerfull.(cigarette size)

Thanks,Red.At first i had trouble finding the right net to make it look somewhat scale but one of the members on the Dutch forum had the bright idea to use a industrial hairnet.

I used this cover instead of a net because it's much stronger. With the leafs attached the net got torn easily.
Not sure if i'm going to use the leafs on this cover.

This little piggy will need some work to get the bugs out.
Softer springs,a tube bumper and a new chassisrail are some of the things i'll have to do this winter to make it compworthy next season.

The build-off ended in a tie and we decided to split the prizes.

Wow, I just read through ALL FOUR PAGES (always wanted to do that... ) and this truck made me smile. Nice outside-the-bachs thinking! Can't wait to see what's up your sleeve for this machine.

Thanks,Ugly Duck.

The main reason for taking it apart was lowering the tranny to get a better c.o.g. and layout.

The rear section can now be bolted on as a whole to make working on it easier.

The front has a setup similar to the rear to keep things simple and strong.

The chassis minus the bugs.
Basically a new front and lower part to allow me to run the wiring through the chassis and make sure all the heavy parts are lower than they were before.
