I will have to say that I really, really, hate you now.

Translation: I bow in the grace of your awesomeness! very nicely done!

One issue I have and I hope you dont take offence.
The painting can use a bit more pop, I would of at the least taped off my design and interior pieces and air brushed them and coated them with clear coats.
You did such a sick job with the chassis and body, It would of been nice to see the paint share the same execution.

Other than that, its was a very enjoyable build.

Thanks man. I appreciate the honest input and agree.

Gonna start retaping the exterior and shoot the silver again then redo the blue and detail up the interior some more.

What a kick-ass build! I love doing full interiors also. My bro-in law has an F-350 and I have to show him this build so he can see what CAN be done. I go with lexan or kiddie RC interior. This is just so incredible.

rolled the Tundra out the garage a bit back and got some updates done to it.

had to hang the calipers and pads

rears

Also got my exhaust system in and together ....... 2.5'' back Magnaflow system

here you can see the rear brake lines bent and in place too ..... also got in my hard line coiled center hose for the brakes

Got some urethane bushings for the leafs (thanks to 1BJB for the idea )

and some bump stops for the front and rear

Updated the gauge clusters to some nice white face Autometers and got my GPS in the dash

Not wanting to be on a trail and break down from an overloaded alternator I thought it be good to carry a spare.

While it was in the garage I decided to get rid of the blue and go for the sand down again. After smoothing the cab out just went with a nice coat of silver. I also added some headlight brows to match the body.

Well thats it for now ....... rolled it back into the garage while I finish up some others projects. More to come later ........

Thanks for looking

That looks fantastic. It looks just like a real 1:1 SAS truggied Tundra lol. I do think the front bumper sticks out a little too fat hough. It it hugged th body a little closer it would look better IMO.

Either way one of my fav build

You have heard it all but wow..............One question. Why did you chose a cobalt motor ? I understand if the rig will be used JUST for rock crawling but if not. The cobalt gets hot if there is not enough air flow. A small fan will not run with in a couple inches of a cobalt motor. I don't know how heavy the rig is and this also plays a big role too. (and you know this )

My experience comes from Warpig (Tim) and his EB.

anyway................one hell of a thread. Your styrene skills are Top Notch . Fun to read.

Thanks man. I agree on the bumper, does look big but I havent found any Tundras yet with bumpers I like. I was more worried about the grill clearing when the hood opens. Now that I have that in place and the hood opening and closing I know better what kind of space I have, a change will be done down the road.

Thanks. Originally I was building this for occasional trail fun and comps. After our scale series points rules came out, all the time I put into the interior and engine bay styrene and remembering the last Tundra I cracked in half I changed my mind quick.

Now the truck is just gonna be a trail rig, no comps. I took the cobalt out really because of the heat like you said and replaced it with a 45T and went with a simple ESC and 2S Lipo, she gos fast enough lol.

I think the Tundra is one of the ugliest stock trucks I have ever seen, but WOW! You have taken an ugly duckling and turned it into a swan!
