The attention to detail is amazing. Props for an awesome build. Since you have SO much praise on here I wanted to give my humble opinion on the front end. I think it would have looked better if you cut the lower skirt off the abs body below the radiator/headlights and moved the winch/bumper assy back closer to the grill area. Other than that Its flawless IMO. |

Thank you, Appreciate your opinion. Anythings a possibility and I like that idea. Might just be the way to go on slimming the nose back some after some mounting rethinking. | ||

The attention to detail and styrene work is just spectacular! Awesome job! One crit - my eyes maybe playing a trick on me.... is the steering wheel a bit off scale? A tad too small?

Been watching this intently. Brakes? Spare alternator? Hood latch? You are a freakin' freak!! Your work with the styrene is just the best! Are you going to be afraid to really hammer this thing on the trail? That kinda stops me from going so far with the realism. I hate to spend a bunch of time on something to have it shattered in a matter of moments....not trying to take away from what you have done AT ALL. This is one of the best rigs I have ever seen!

Well time for my final update, this was definitely a fun build and one Im proud to have done. On with the pics ..... Had the seats redone to match the interior ..... Got some sleeves from a fellow builder for my driveshafts, think they had a nice touch to the underside. They slipped right over the pede shafts still allowing for movement under suspension cycles. And now some overall shots, unfortunately we still have 2 feet of snow outside so there indoor pics. A little clearer shot to the latch cable Fits either 3S or 2S battery, depending on your wanted fun level Thanks to everyone who posted with ideas and compliments. Like my other builds this one is just another that kept me busy, for me its really just about building them. Big thanks to everyone who helped out with parts ..... 1BJB for the extra frame ..... RPP for the Tundra body .... RC4WD for the incredibly scaled axles, wheels and tires, winch and transfercase ....... MTHead for the shaft sleeves .... Jason/Badger/RCC for creating a place for crawlers ...... Reign for the seats and the incredible builders on this site that keep raising the bar on scale builds ...... Thanks to everyone! Time for the auction block for fundage towards the next one ........... Last edited by Robbob; 01-21-2011 at 10:08 AM. |
