OH YEAH... I almost forgot... where did the Illinois license plate come from? Do they do requests? I would love the actual license plate from my 1:1 '74 Bronco on my Hpi bodies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found it in google images then printed it out on some CD label paper.

I fixed the issue with the torch I was using the single flame head like what is used for plumbing. I went with my old benz-o-matic 3 flamer and finished the brazing. Not a job for Jim, he doesn't have enough safety gear to protect him.

I did get one side done today it took me a while to figure a way around the battery pack. The battery pack has to slide out the side, so I made the slider become the battery hold down.

Jim likes them

Didn't make it any easier for him to get in though.

Just a few more things then it's ready for the 4x4 trip Jims gonna take.

Thanks to Double J I should now have all the bogger tires.

Passenger seat is in the mail along with the drivers side brake rotor.

Jims hillbilly twin brother Rick, will be making appearance soon.

He put the taco bumpers on it and mentioned having to clearance the front, so maybe sticking with them?

By the way, here's a link to a site for making custom license plates.
http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/
Which I had got off these forums some time ago.

Thanks, Military men Jim will be awaiting the delivery.

I finished the other slider, Jim kept begging me to show him how to braze. So I suited him up in alum foil and went to work.

Installed painted slider pics later...

Yeah I ditched the bumper idea for now the truck really needs a large bumper/ grill to cover the guts under the body. Tube bumpers looks bare, ARB style would be nice but it is complex. So rather then use the old beat grill I just found a new one to replace it. The rear bumper I'm still unsure of I would almost like a wrap around type tube bumper to protect the bed sides.

I just purchased a Wireless camera to get on board video footage. So I am considering the can back idea. But, it looks kinda funny with the roof line. I may just go with a tool box. That way Jim has a place to put his tow rope and gear.

I need some steel tubing! The aluminum just didn't work! It kept on bending... it even melt!

I love the suit Sgt. Jim

Looking good Mnster and Jim!

Mnster can you PM some deminsions on your front end? I have an idea for a bumper that I would like to try and make. If it looks good I'll send it your way for final installation for proper attachment.

You've guys go me going on the bumpers now. I do want the truck to look different from when it first started. I do want more protection from bumps and stuff. The chrome chips and scratches easy and does not protect the body much. I would also like to maybe add a working winch. I would like the rig to look more offroad like and a little less daily driver. But, I still want it to be scale and look good.

Something like this for the back

I want like a desert style tube winch bumper for the front. I'll play around in photo shop for a while.
