R/C_rock_rebel, There's no sense in posting three consecutive times in ANY thread. There's an edit button that prevents an otherwise excellent thread from being polluted with that type of crap. Copy the text from your 2nd and 3rd post and and edit the first, paste the text, and delete the other two posts. |

Yup, I won the coolest shop in RCCA. Jim and I have been working on the paint. It' not really coming out all that great though. I think it may be a problem with the primer or something. Pic's later tonight.

This thread has inspired me to get into scale rigs. I really like the looks and scaleness of this Taco project. With RC experience limited to basic 1:6 Nylint mods, it seems like a challenge, but you have to learn somehow! Mnster, I will PM you with a few questions pertaining to your... err uhhh Jim's taco and scale rigs in general. I want to start out with something very similar to yours because it looks perfectly scale out of the box and they have an F-150 at my LHS! If any of you have tips on sites to purchase these trucks from for relatively cheap, PM me please. Also, The local K-mart has fly wheels, havn't checked for m/t designs, but they do have them. |

| Jim found a old clod servo mount that I made and used it for the Tacoma. Just a standard servo for now He installed some Velcro to hold the floor down. |

The paint looks sick. I hope you find some more of those swampers.

What does everyone think of the color? I'm kind of swayed either way. It looks awesome in bright light like the sun. It seems a little dark and I can't get the color to lay out right. I'm going to sand it then put several coats of paint and clear.

Yeah, This color almost looks plum like. I think it maybe the dark primer under the paint. I'm going to try backing it with a chrome to see if it comes out a little better. A little to dark for me. If I still don't like it then I will go with a silver.
