Also grabbed a rear axle 4-link truss for the rear. The square stock goes with the look of this truck better I feel.

Just did a little planning tonight, not a ton of progress. Calling it a night.

I think I will be cutting a bunch of the wood pieces out on the CNC to make it easy to attach the planks. The pieces that are on there will mostly be for mock-up.

Through a file together for the seat pan. I'll cut it out tomorrow. This will allow me to easily attach everything.

Josh one thing I always meant to do was add a small piece of fuel tube to the exterior to act as a bump stop...theres alot of spring shoe-horned into those. They do look good on there...

A bump may be good. I was thinking I may have one welded to the frame.

A little urethane bushing as a bump stop would be pretty awesome! Why so much droop? Not going to see much high speed action?

Not much speed will be shown from this rig. These shocks will fit the look better after some detailing. I may find a super stiff spring to get me around 50% but I'm guessing that's as good as she'll get.

I'm diggin' it! Very unique and cool, too. I didn't even know what a doodlebug was 'til I started looking for my Model A and they were/are everywhere. Redneck engineering, baby!

Thanks man. It will be awesome when I can blame poor craftsmanship on the "spirit of the build"

I better start making my scale duct tape rolls now.

I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for the steering and winch mount up front. I am thinking about just doing the Hand Bro's kit and then fabricating an additional mount for the winch. With the Rat Rod body I will have very little room under the nose is the biggest concern.

Been studying this build and it finally struck me what was wrong. Shouldn't all the tubing be "plumbing pipe" put togther w/ 45 & 90 degree fittings?

Now that would be J-WOW!

lol...I was just thinking the same thing! Usually great tube work is applauded, but shouldn't this be more backyard looking?
