Wow, at first I was unsure about the welds, but looking at them painted, they turned out great.

Man this is freaking awesome!!!
I had a '63 long bed step side that exact color, I mean really that exact color even down to the rust.
I would love to have a C2 rig based on that body!! <3

I would have thought more than that.

It would have been the same without them. You can count on a lot of pictures!

Just ordered myself up another 30' of chromoly. Stuff is awesome but pricey, but if you want to run with the big dogs you gotta pay so they say.

I need to order some more myself, I get mine from Stockcar Steel it runs about $4 and some change a foot. I cheat a little bit though, I use solid rod for the lower structure then chromoly for main hoops and main braces, then DOM for filler tubes. Pay to play

I use a 1/16 tungsten and usually a 7 cup, but use a 9 now since I dropped my torch. I need to get to the weld supply store and pick up and few new cups. I also use 1/16" filler rod. With the solid rod I pretty much fuse the joints first then go back and throw some filler in there. DOM and chromoly are a bit more work and require filler right away.

So normal filler on cromo? And never had any breakage from a real multiple foot drop (read 10ft or more)?

Yep, same as I use on solid rod. No breakage, it has the same strength as a solid built chassis, but with less weight.

I use stock car steel also but only through their eBay store. Price per foot is cheaper and shipping is way cheaper than using their normal website.
