Wow, at first I was unsure about the welds, but looking at them painted, they turned out great.

Man this is freaking awesome!!! I had a '63 long bed step side that exact color, I mean really that exact color even down to the rust. I would love to have a C2 rig based on that body!! <3 |

Just ordered myself up another 30' of chromoly. Stuff is awesome but pricey, but if you want to run with the big dogs you gotta pay so they say.

I use a 1/16 tungsten and usually a 7 cup, but use a 9 now since I dropped my torch. I need to get to the weld supply store and pick up and few new cups. I also use 1/16" filler rod. With the solid rod I pretty much fuse the joints first then go back and throw some filler in there. DOM and chromoly are a bit more work and require filler right away.

So normal filler on cromo? And never had any breakage from a real multiple foot drop (read 10ft or more)?

Yep, same as I use on solid rod. No breakage, it has the same strength as a solid built chassis, but with less weight.

I use stock car steel also but only through their eBay store. Price per foot is cheaper and shipping is way cheaper than using their normal website.
