Default '66 F-100 Truggy....."the F-ruggy"

While searching the web for some truggy pics for an up coming customer. I ran across this gem! It is a 1:1 build going on at Pirate4X4 that has been radically modded, one of which was removing 14" from the center and welding it back together I knew I had to build it, but there's no 1966 Ford F-100 bodies readily available.......hmmm? What to do? Well silly, the only thing one might do in this situation.......build it! WHOA! hold on there partner, you have some skills but not any near enough to pull that one off. So knowing there are some master styrene guys here on the forum I set out to enlist one of the best. So after a few PM's I landed plastic maestro.....Dready! Neil and I came up with a plan of attack and soon he'll be starting magic!

1:1 build on Pirate..... http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/ford/...-hp-1-ton.html

This is going to be another C3/TTC entry for my personal collection. It will be based off of Wraith geometry, including built up AR60's.

Part list:
- Custom Chromoly chassis
- AR60's built up
- Locked Up R/C Rock Cutters
- Pit Bull Rock Beast II 2.2's
- 2-speed trans of some sort
- MMP ESC
- Tekin ROC for thr Braapp!
- and what ever else I can throw at it, my list is still a work in progress

Skinny Skinny Skinny - LOVE IT!

I remember looking at that one pirate and thinking a pumpkin body would work for a starting point. Can't wait to see how this thing turns out.

Thumbs up Re: '66 F-100 Truggy....."the F-ruggy"

This build is gonna be crazy cool. I know youre gonna use ar60s but juggs, txts, or blackwells would really set this beast off. Cant wait to see where this goes

Ha! Yes sir! Neal is building the body around the AR's and Pit Bulls so it scales right and passes C3 rules.

I can't believe this was the first time I seen the build......I hope he finishes it. It way too cool to stop now.

It's going to be interesting to say the least.

I thought about the Blackwells, but they are a little narrow for what this build. I'm sure the AR's will get some special treatment along the way.

This will be a sweet build for sure. There have been a couple narrowed rigs around here since the west side is covered in trees a full sized body just don't fit. Here's one of the better ones that could be easily replicated since the body is available.

Not really a fan of the narrowed bodies but that is just sick. The front end is very intriguing. That second ford is freaking awsome too. Dang wish i had unlimited time and funds......makes me want to build more rigs.

The body alone will be worth watching this build! Tube work will be close second

Those I would buy! Might have to get with Clay at CFM to build some AR width Blackwells

That's bad ass too! I looked through that whole thread and seen the the guy that's building the 66 posted in there too.

I'm not really a big fan myself, but for some reason I couldn't resist! I think the fact that the cab is custom made is what pushed me to want to build it. Everything will be in proportion, so it won't look weird. Yea, I'm digging the other one too.

Everyone wishes that, unlimited funds and time!

Thanks Tim! Like I said, I just stumbled upon it myself.

Body will be a long process, but I know I will have something special! I have complete faith in Neil and his abilities, just hope I can pull it off my self.
