Very cool. The rails are definitely the best place to aim for shaving off excess weight.

Think you could incorporate some body mounts into it so we don't have to use the "mechanism deck"?

That Would Be Possible I Think. I Wish The Bearings Would Get Here So I Could Start Building This Thing . I Could Start On All The Suspension And Maybe Some Of The Chassis

Looks good. I can't tell from the pic, did you drill the holes in the tops of the rails?

This is gonna be a sweet build. Looking at mine, I cant think of anything to add really other than aluminum crossbracing. Maybe some trick aluminum leaf retainers or shackles? |

Yeah I really would like to see a different bumper that mounts to the stock brush guard mounts and sits in place of the stock front bumper. Much like the Warn bumper RC4WD made for the bruiser. It would look killer and provide alot of protection for the cab body work. I think the Warn HD bumper with a more simple upper section would be perfect http://www.gowarn.com/images/product...per_Ford_2.jpg Last edited by pigeonfarmboy; 09-29-2006 at 06:49 PM. |

Put the hard mounting point for the front leaf at the front, shackle at the rear. I know it's not a Jeep, but it'd reduce shock to the suspension and allow the front axle to move back a tad as the suspension compresses. |
