I love that ultra4 chassis, much potential to be had
They are Wheely King springs. They are a pretty standard diameter.

I forgot to take pictures tonight but the electronics are all back in the truck, the Burly tubes are installed with the new Vanquish scale knuckles and C's. I also got most of the aluminum body panels made and picked up the skins from Neal.

I hope to pick up the new wheels in the next week or so and then this thing will be ready to drive!

Time is ticking and I need to have this rig done soon. Last weekend we made a trip out to the location of our new Ultra4 style track. It lit a fire under me and made want to change a couple things on this rig.

Here is a preview of the the new track. This weekend we will be smoothing the track and adding rock to a couple of the turns.

Last night I tackled a handful of little tasks. First of all, I removed the winch. I know it would be best to have one for the G6 but I'll be running with Mighty1 and he has one this year (I did last year and he didn't) so I think I'll be fine. After that, I shortened the front links about 1/4" to increase my suspension uptravel by about 1/2" total. Now the shocks get full compression without any of the steering links touch the chassis. It's REALLY close though.

LAST thing. I started to install the lighting. I have 2 Vanquish Rigid light bars with MORE LLC inserts. The first is a one inch bar with a BLUE insert, that was the one I took care of first.

I drew a very simple mount.

Hit print. Done. The whole process was about 25 minutes.

What interior kit is that you are using or is it custom?

Day 2 of our Ultra4 track build went really well yesterday. I didn't get the chance to finish the rig to go test it out there.

Here was the outcome of the testing! Jerry destroyed the MIP half shaft on a Pro4 HD on 4 cell.

Nice to see that blue light back.

Sadly nobody stocks the CREE Orange chip.

Do you have any plans to make a small batch of those mounts for sale? ;)

I can throw a set in with your wheel adapter and chassis as soon as I get it painted...

Last night I decided to install some new shocks. The stock SCX shocks would just be constantly bottoming out if I ran them. I had a set of Slash Front Proline Powerstrokes so it was an easy call.

I used some Dlux shock standoffs to install them but needed another 1/8" spacer in the rear still. Everything is SUPER tight but clears 100%.

Also spent some time working on the Mega Truck last night. I have to get both these rigs done in the next 10 days!
