The Powerstrokes are super tight. I heard yesterday that the crawling action at the G6 is going to be much more technical than last year. So now I'm a little concerned about my low ride height. I'm thinking about swapping on some Powerstroke rear shocks to increase my ground clearance. I'm going to investigate that tonight and go from there.

Last night I was only able to get down to the shop for an hour. While I was down there I did swap out the rear shocks to the Powerstroke rears. Not a huge gain in clearance, but I think it's a better setup for the G6.

Before I went upstairs I took 10 minutes and drew up a rear electronics box and hit print. I went down to the studio this morning to check on it and everything fits nicely. I'll make the top tonight I hope, if I have another Proline fuel cell I might incorporate that into the lid.

Doesn't look like much at all. You running less uptravel with the longer ones? Been considering swapping to the slash rear F&R on mine for a little more travel up front.

Also, is that upper pivot mount for the shocks steel? If so, where might one find themselves one of those?

The new ones have more up travel, everything still clears the chassis. Unless you are refering to the physical location of the axle in respect to the chassis in which case it doesn't come quite as far up into the chassis. Overall I do get more travel on the rear now, and am happy I made the swap.

Those mounts are steel. They are the big bore shock ends from Dlux. Found on Dluxfab.com. His website is screwy and you can't post a direct link or I'd give that to you.

Hey Harley if you want to try something really trick but doe's take a little time to set up get the mip real shock bypass valve setup I run on my SC trucks and there are sweet. You can run over rumble patches and you will just glide over them and large jumps is like landing on pillow. But like said takes time to to tune to your liking
I can see were they would work real good on a ultra 4 just thought I let you know if you did't oready

Poor wording, meant chassis to axle relation uptravel. Thanks for link, I'll dig it out.

Agreed wouldn't it be nice to be able to just print up simple brackets, mounts, and such.

Never heard of those, I'll take a look. Although I have to admit I'm not much of a shock tuner.

I kind of thought that's what you possibly meant.

I ordered new packs for the truck today as well. Going with some high discharge 2200 packs. I've had really good luck with the nicer Turnigy packs, I will never buy the Nano-techs again.

Are those new or something? Never seen ones that say heavy duty like those do.

I'm not sure if they are new or not. I just did a search for the Turnigy 2200's I normally get and saw them. Price was decent so I picked them up.

Tonight I finished up the design of the top side of the electronics box. I ended up also reprinting the main portion as well since I didn't add any mounting bosses for it originally either.

I integrated a Novak fan (only Novak product I'll admit to using ) which will draw air directly over the ESC. The intake is on the front side and I actually did two versions of it. One is a 180 degree curve to help keep mud and water from flying in, and the other is a 90 degree for more of a "forced air" style intake.

We'll see what it looks like in the morning. This is a 5 hour print.

I got up early and went downstairs to assemble it quickly before leaving for work

The opening for the fan is really tight, I think I want to increase that in the design. I still need to smooth the parts as well, I'm really thinking about getting a tumbler or something.

Here is the 180° inlet, I haven't printed the 90° version yet.

It's hard to see but this is a look from the bottom. The intake is on the left and exhaust is on the right.
