Default 2014 Mattzilla Ultra4 Rig


I'm excited for 2014, I hope to make it a big year!

Goat Hill Off-Road RC Park is going to make a big splash with some awesome events. We run 1.9 and 2.2 classes out there. I have never had a 1.9 rig that I have really competed with. Last year I had a good year with the 2.2 rigs but never made much of an attempt with the 1.9's.

Lue@Mattzilla offered me a new production Ultra4 chassis. After getting it I decided to take it and make it the base for my 2014 competition rig.

I will be converting a RTR Wrangler Rubicon I had sitting on the shelf and then building up from there.

Cant wait to see how this one turns out. I dont know how you handle having all these projects going at the same time. I can barely find enough time for 1 or 2 let alone what is up to 4 projects now. I'd be pulling my hair out. All joking aside you always build something sweet.

My buddy Howard is helping out right now and that has been a big boost in productivity. He is swapping the drivetrain from the RTR SCX into the chassis now.

Someone should have told him how fast I am at finishing projects!

I ended up using the project as a reason to do a newbie guide to link building, not exactly RCC level tech type stuff.

If I can sneak down to the shop tomorrow night I'll finish it up.

I got the truck built up as a roller last night. I currently have it sitting at a 13" wheelbase. I need to make a small adjustment to the front upper links to pull the servo back just a hair. Other than that, I'm happy with the setup.

Currently I have some stock SCX shocks on it that Howard built up for me last night.

This rig,crispy, mega truck, 50.00 wrath, bouncer, a drift truck/car, build new office/3d printer/ filming and editing area and building 6 crispy chassis can anyone say ADD/ADHD BI-POLAR ULTRA BUILDER lol ........ sorry harley i couldnt pass on the beat down ......
