Default Gelande 2

What color scheme yall think should go on this baby?

These are the cans.

Sprayed and the Ivory is for the roof.

Yellow on the left is Tamiya Camel Yellow and on the right is the Krylon brand.

Tamiya Olive drab 2 with Rustolium withe roof and flat black. This filter is as accurate as I could get to the color in person.

My SCX10 based Defender 90. TS5 Olive Drab. I really think the defender looks best in matte green.

Hi guys, a quick question. Any of you use lacquer on top of the paint?

So just bare paint then. Is that on purpose, so it would get scratched more and look more realistic?

Not really....the fusion paint is just easier and doesn't require primer....on this plastic body you can use alotta different paint...some require more prep and/or primer.....some don't...this was just easiest for and I got the color a wanted which was pretty close to british racing green.....satin hunter green krylon fusion...ill have to post a pic here

Yeah I never use an extra clear coat on my cars. That is just for ppl with the extra patience and that want a show room appearance. It could also help protect it I imagine.

How on EARTH did you get those flashpoints to work?! I have a Gelande II, cut off the fender flares, added trimmed up Axial flares, and those things are rubbing all over the place, even when I use the lower shock mount position

I put tomohawks on mine....had to use the lower shock mounts and limit the shock travel with stops....it works great

I used the cheap G Made sr03 metal beadlock wheels the offset is very little on them so my tires stayed tucked in just right. Very little rubbing and I extended the front lower links about 3-4 mm like another Gelande 2 builder did.

I used the same Rust-Oleaum, Deep Forest Green on my Toyota Truck body, I like it looks like its OD Green like a military vehicle.
