I went and bought some flat red primer and some 3/8'' rod, to close the front and rear of the chassis and mount the trailer hitch also, going to smash the salt up and use it on the primer to get the rusted look on the trailer then the flat green to match the truck, and maybe the bead lock rings. and need to check auto parts store for more primer in red, brown, rust colored so it has different kinds of rust.

I did some body work on my Toyota, I used a torch and some sharp objects and dented it and added scratches, the previous owner used red or a rust colored primer underneath the Deep Forest Green, that's why some it looks dirty, I'm going to do some researching on how to do rust and weathering and go buy some brown, and some rust colored primer, I already bought some red. Might need to go to a auto parts store, to get the colors I want, going to spray the into some thing and hand brush the different colors to get the look I want going to try different things. I didn't do the bed and not sure if I'm, My RC4WD spare tire bed mount is close its in Reno, and I should get it Monday or Tuesday and didn't want to dent it until I mounted it, if any thing maybe just some deep scratches and little dents. The previous owner cut the hood to make it removable and it warp when heated and didn't look right to me, so reheated the hood and made some adjustments and got the look I wanted.

I might mix the flat red and the flat yellow and a little bit of black and make a rusty blue-ish color, or and a little more and make a rusty red-ish color or a rusty brown-ish color, I bought flat black, flat red, flat brown, couldn't find flat yell spray paint, so I bought some testers in little glass bottles, there rest is spray cans, and bought some flat clear to seal it when its done, I might mix some rusty paint and take the rub I made out of cinnamon, black pepper, red pepper, chili powder, cloves, cumin, oregano and what ever else in the spice rack that looks dirty, dusty, rusty, and gives that well used finish. look at sitting in the bowl looks pretty good so far. the second picture is with the flash off, it a lot darker

and I also just got my RC4WD front and rear hubs and the tools for them, and my RC4WD body lift kit, going to have to make a mount and or spacers cause the GCM 4Ten chassis is not as wide as the TF2 chassis so there is a gap and I bought some windshield wipers I melted one and the windshield so I going to get a new windshield and some new mirrors the olds were broke off, they have rubber mirrors but RC4WD is out of stock, I asked to be e-mail when back in stock, rubber mirrors are going to be bad ass if I get them. I like the hubs, the front hubs look like the hubs on my 84 and 87 Toyota Trucks, the rears on both my real trucks, there is no hub, unless it a 3/4 or 1 ton not sure could be wrong, cause my 95 GMC 3/4 ton doesn't have rear hubs either, but what ever they look good.

I stripped it, and painted the racing stripe down the side and the hood flat black, I like it the dents and dinge's got depth and going to use a dirty wash or and some rust before I use the flat clear to seal up the paint. I looks pretty dam good I'm really liking it. needs more detailing yet.

I did some more painting, I painted the fender flares and the trim rings around the back window and windshield, I also painted the top halves of the doors, I like how it looks like some one took rattle cans and improved the look of the truck.

The previous owner put a hole in the bed, so I took a piece of clear lexan and scuffed it up on both sides and glued it in side the fender, then once dried, I painted the back side of it black and bought some Testers rust colored paint and I think it came out pretty good, I don't think, I would put in any more holes in the body unless it was in a spot you could get to back of it to clean it up a little too get the glue too stick better, I'm going to keep on working on rusting of the truck some more.

I got the inside of the bed repainted, and I bought a pair of 1.9'' plastic G-Made bead locks, they look like they Toyota stock steel rims, going to weather and rust up the rim, so it looks like a the original spare. I also put some stickers on the rear window and trimmed out the windows, windshield, rear window, and I bought the metal Hilux emblems but the fenders are too dented, I would have to bend the emblems to match the fender and why destroy them.

I got my vinyl stickers, the Metallica one is going on the truck box lid and is going to look bad ass, and the Toyota Truck sticker in yellow and black for the hood, needs trimmed but it will fit, or cut out the big T and the yellow oval, or the letters and make a stencil. either way its going to look bad ass.

Bought some Tester's Dullcote lacquer that is flat clear enamel, and need to do the sticker test, the Testers should bond better, cause the hood and trim and rust paint is enamel, the Krylon is acrylic and water based not sure if it would even stick.

Gee....if that thing was orange it would like just like the 1:1 '83 yard truck I had!

I used it for plowing snow, firewood and playing in the woods.

yeah baby I'm liking the green Metallica sticker on my laptop, I bought a black sticker and wanted two of them but they only had one, so I got the next darkest color, that was green and at the time I was going to leave the truck green, so I bought the green Metallica for the truck box lid, I then striped paint and are now going with the black Metallica sticker on the truck box lid. here is pics two with the flash on and two of them with out the flash.

I got my RC4WD grill emblem and the Hilux fender emblems, you can see the top ones are RC4WD, the other ones are from RPP Hobby, not sure who makes them, but since the drivers fender is dented the way it is, to make it look right, I would have to bend or cut the emblem. So instead I might cut off the Hilux part on the Rpp ones, the Rc4WD are to nice to bend or cut up. And I got my rubber mirrors also from RC4WD, it took my a while to remember that I have a Axial Rubicon Mirror sticker stashed in a drawer and it was almost forgotten, they need to be trimmed to fit, they should fit nicely, if I take my time trimming them to fit and to look good.

I didn't know the side turn signal lenses are different between the round headlight grill and the square headlight grill, the round ones are taller, and the square ones are curved around the light, I only have turn signal lens and one side marker light, So I found the Tamiya parts tree that has the light buckets for the headlights and the light buckets for the front bumper and the light buckets for the side marker lights and the right turn signal lenses in clear and in yellow, I got another set of brake lenses to paint, the previous owner of the body super glued in tin foil in the headlights for backing and it looked like shit, now I got the buckets coming, I can maybe add some headlights now, I got extra's of the Axial light controllers for a Wraith that run four head lights and two brake lights, so it would be, two headlights and two bumper lights in the front and one set of brake lights, going to put the lenses on side marker lights might splice them in later or not use them. going to look for the brake light buckets or mounts, not sure what parts tree there on or what they even look like.

I found the brake light mounts and it comes with a new bumper, so now I beat one up to add more detail to the truck.

I got the windshield sticker put on, the window is taped in for now, I painted the PIAA on the headlight grills, in the pic's, its the first coat of Testers Flat Yellow, with two coats of the yellow and the Testers Dullcote which is Flat Lacquer, and with the lenses and the light buckets, it should look pretty good, I'm thinking of not using the vinyl sticker on the hood, and just leave it Flat Black, and put on the fourth coat of brush on Flat Black enamel and fine scotch padded between coats and after I do the fourth coat tomorrow and it dries and is cured and scotch padded, I'll shoot the Dullcote and it dry and get the right sand paper for it in between coats, and see after maybe three or four times, so it scratch proof. cause I like the dents on the hood, and how its shiny after its scotch padded, and when shot it should stay shiny, I hope, I like the little bit shine. the clear will keep that way.

I got the yellow done on the headlight cages should look good with the lens and the buckets in and the black hood and black grill and black bumper, they should stick out, the fourth coat is drying and need scraped where I went over the hood line and got a little black on my rust but its a easy fix when it dries then when done detailing I'll clear it.
