Default Codyboys T-Rex The Green Machine.

Went to a new owner today.

I have been working on this off and on for about three weeks, so thought I would try another build thread. I wanted to build something with about 11.5 wheel base and a hard body. I started with a Newbright body and streched it one inch. I did a comp cut on the rear and a partial on the front.

Here is my parts list:
- Stock SCX10 chassis
- Super Shafty bullet proof transmittion
- Tekin PRO 4 3300 kv motor
- Kyosho Velvet shocks front and rear
- For now 4 link front and rear ( may change to three link in front later)
- Front axle is RC4WD Black Widow
- Rear axle for now is SCX10 with beef tubes and up graded locker and
gears
- Custom transfer case I made at Kelly Lunsfords shop
- Motor forward with custom mounts
- Wheels are by Locked up RC I have five of these
- Tires are RC4WD 1.7 IROC Super Swampers with home built two stage foam
- A front winch
- Fuel cell

Things I plan on building:
- Stainless steel Boatside rock sliders (stainless because I don't plan on painting them)
- 3/16 stainless steel pick-up stile cage with a soft top
- Stainless steel steel armor with comp fender for the rear
- And what ever suggestions you guys might have

And I want run it low and mean with about 3/4 droop.

Got some work done on the cage today. It isn't really a pick up?? I guess I would call it a two "seater jeep". Kind of like the how it is starting to take shape. All of my solder joints are starting to look pretty good.

It has been a few days, so thought I would share some progress.

Had to make a shaft for gear box to transfer case. I used losi shaft ends, cut and soldered to length.

Finished the stainless steel boatside rock sliders. I designed them so I have more options to mount electronics.

Finished up the rear body armour and changed the shocks from 3.5 to 3.0 today. Trying to keep the cog as low as I can. Because of the off set punkin in the rear I had to move the shocks from behind the axle to the sides of the chassis. It is amazing how one small change leads to another ,and then another. But it is starting to look like a roller.

The tool box will cover up the shock mounts behind the roal cage.
