I removed a fair amount of material from the front crossmember to make room for the shackles.

And then success!

the way it should have been all along. Still wondering why they decided to use the linked chassis instead...

There you go setting the standard again, Noob. I like everything you've done so far, and my opinion matters.

Now I'm looking even more forward to my own build...a week after the boat arrives from the land of scale truck kits.

Nice job on the kit bash.

Really.

Yes, I did indeed do that. The evidence is patiently waiting in a pile of parts for my Aioshima FJ40. Just haven't had the desire to build it cause I know ill drive it like a tard.

Because why reengineer a chassis when there is a one that already fits the body? Axial and Tamiya get away with it.

Thanks! I must set the standard pretty low I guess. Doesn't take much to beat me.

Too kind! Thank you!

I had to make room in the garage so I pushed the Land Cruiser outside. Then the snow came...

My job here is done.

The snow flakes were super fine today so it was perfect for tiny truck photography.

The snow did some remarkable work on the rust.

RC4WD scale shocks to complete the look.

I cut the electronics plate from the crossmember, then rotated it so I could use the holes to mount the shocks. In turn I lost the receiver box but no big deal. All of my electronics will fit under the hood.

A little bit of paint on these guys

Lost some weight. Going to build a new transfer case skid.

Take-offs pile is growing.

And since I converted to leaf springs I could lose the rear shock towers. Had to make up a new floor.

And did a little bit of detailing to the dash and steering wheel.

Copy cat. I just ordered another of your Interior Detail Kits so that I could piece them together and do this. I'm going to stop sharing my ideas until after I build my truck, stinker!

Gotta like a spirited exchange between friends! The patina work is just perfect. Very scale.

Well, I thought I could live with the stock shock towers and box in the interior then it made me feel anxious and I had to delete it. Lol

I'm just giving you a hard time, of course. However, I have a few secret plans up my sleeve, so my truck will still be better than yours. So nah!
