My wheels came in the other day and I finally got my PitBulls mounted on them!! Here's a couple of pics. The pics do the wheels absolutely no justice.... They weigh 4.4 ounces each, which will give some good weight down low and hopefully they will help keep the ZJ-10 planted to the ground!! These wheels have to be seen in person, as they are downright sexy!! |

So, tonight I finally got a chance to do something on the ZJ-10! I made a set of rear control arms using 8-32 allthread, 1/4" x .035" aluminum tubing, and the RC4WD 8-32 alloy end links my wife bought me for x-mas. I'm so glad to finally be able to take off those hideous green and orange arms I had been using forever, now it's just shiny new aluminum all the way!! Just need to make front arms and a drag link!! I'm kind of pissed though, because I broke one of the rod ends while putting one of the arms together... But on the lighter side of the news, I finally put those sexy wheels on!!! She's gonna look gorgeous when she's finally done, I just need to find the time to accomplish something... Last edited by Full Throttle Rob; 03-03-2016 at 08:25 PM. Reason: typo |

Hi, new to the hobby. Got a SCT for my son for Christmas and then got a Everest 10 for my self with dreams of making it a scale 1:1 of my daily driver, 89 F350 Centurion Bronco. Just read your thread start to finish and wishing I hadn't caught up to the current date so there was still more for me to see. I've thought about doing something like this but seeing the time and effort you are putting in (it is awesome), I know this is beyond my level of patience. I cant wait to see how the rest of the build goes and how she turns out in the end. Keep up the great inspiring work! Last edited by Bronco-Lover; 03-04-2016 at 04:57 PM. |

Making a Bronco like yours wouldn't be quite so bad, as the lines are fairly "square" and would be fairly easy. I also improvised a lot of stuff.... You could easily do it!!!

Looks cool all together! The best part is always when you can pull the tape or clips off and see the final product! I get excited every time I do it! I'm anxious to see vid of this running. |

I peeled the tape off this morning and it looks killer!! Trust me, there will be LOTS of vids of this critter in the near future!!!! Although it looks like I'll need to make my grille and body cladding out of styrene, since I can't find anyone to 3D print them for me. I've never built anything with styrene before, so that could get interesting as well....

Have you tried Shapeways? Shapeways - 3D Printing Service and Marketplace they will print you anything you want. Thingyverse https://www.thingiverse.com/ is also another place to go for 3D printed stuff.

Finally getting around to posting the pics of the mounted door & quarter skins! I'm happy with the overall look but I had to spend a few hours filing and trimming the doors and front fenders to make them work smoothly. I also need to sand the tops of the doors and where the rear quarters meet the roof(I may even fill that seam with 5-minute epoxy putty). I'm thinking I might get the fender flares on next, just to get them ready ahead of time, so they can be simply screwed on after the final paint is done. I need to quit avoiding it and just build the outer hatch skin too. |

Any suggestions on how to curve the Dingo flares to match the contour of my front fenders? I was thinking of boiling some water in a pan and dunking only the part of the flare I want to curve in the water until it softens, maybe? |

Try a heat gun, see how that works.
