Unfortunately length is the most important factor! Here is another of my setups. The second picture is at ride height.

Next question. Any problem with mounting the shocks on the lower hole outside of the links? Like this. It gives me a few mm of ride height.

It shouldn’t unless there’s binding.

What’s longer? Your drag link or panhard? Post some pics in varying angles of how the servo is mounted.

Panhard but I want to figure this out. It's part of the fun for me. Let me try and if I can't get it I'll hit u up.

Mount is mocked up with styrene. But here are shots from different angles. Both drag link and panhard are the same length. They seem to be parallel compressed and extended. They are not parallel with the axle though. How will this hurt?

I can move servo up but will have to extend the mount. No biggie. It has to be done. This will make them as close to parallel with the axle as I can get.

It's looking better! Ultimately it would be best if your panhard mounted to the chassis from the front and the the servo horn was flipped to put the drag link closer to the steering link, but once you do that, it may put the drag a little too far forward. You can always put a spacer on the chassis side panhard mount to bring that further forward. How is it working? For new guys reading...they may not know what bump steer is. Bump steer is when the suspension cycles and the up and down motion makes the steering knuckles turn on their own. Hence you hit a bump, and the axle steers even when the servo isn't moving. As long as it cycles smooth or you have very little bump steer, you're there.

Edit, I just noticed the one picture with the servo moved forward. That could get you far enough forward (with a new mount) and then just remount the panhard in front of the mount. It's all about problem solving.

That is exactly what I am working on now. It seemed to work fine the other way except the end of the steering arm was limiting compression by hitting pumpkin. So I'm killing 2 birds by moving it forward and moving drag link. I'm getting dragged to the mall by the war department so don't think much will be done today.

Operation "as perfect as I can get it steering" complete. Anodizing of the aluminum panhard mount was tricky. It required pulling the cap off a Sharpie.

Servo extension brackets with the same anodizing method

Wait till I tell Vickie what you said!!! LOL
Looking good so far Cary! When I'm setting up a front end like your doing on a new build I don't get to hung up with the steering/pan hard touching the axle when I push straight down. If I can flex one side at a time and it doesn't touch I call it good. If you think about it, how many times when your crawling does your suspension cycle straight down all the way to the bottom? Since this rig, for you is as much or more about looks than function (I think) don't get to rapped up in trying to get it perfect. Just my thoughts.
Give Vickie and the kids a hug for Marcia and I!
Ernie

If we make it east this fall I'm going to give you some lessons on using the Safety Silv 56. Your to the point in your skills that it would help you and Rhett a lot!

Too late Ernie it's done and it actually made everything parallel with the axle. I could make the whole setup better if I cut the servo mount out and made brackets for it to sit perpendicular to the axle. Locating it butt hole tight to the driver side frame rail. Like the 10ii has. This would allow for longer drag link and panhard. Butt I'm going to try this and see how it works. I don't really want to hack up Lou's work.
