Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug that looks awesome with the hubcab! |
Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug Thanks! And just wait. More to come. |
Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug I agree, the hubcaps'll look great with the Bug "thumbsup" |

Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug A bit more progress. Got some primer on the body. Waiting for it to warm up so I can paint. Version 6 of the mirror bracket seems to be workable so I'll whip up some PTEG ones when I get a part for my 3D printer tomorrow. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4547-66888.jpg |
Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug Looking good! Up until you said primer I thought that was the final color which I like, but I suppose it doesn't really suit the vibrant look of the wheels and tires so much. |
Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug I actually have a colour of paint very similar to the primer but didn't like how it looked on the wheels. If I'd left the wheels black this would've looked OK. I also thought of pure rust. We'll see how it goes after it gets beat up a bit. But for now it's going to be black. |
Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug Got a couple of coats of Tamiya semi-gloss black paint on this afternoon. Beats a day at work anytime, and I like my job. Here's a sneak peak. Got some plans for some stickers as well. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...547-66889.jpeg |
Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug Played with some more stickers. Have to look closely at the bottom of the doors. Tried some red paint on the mirror bracket. Looks OK I think, but I still need to print some better ones. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4547-66901.jpg |

Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug Looking good! Did you make the stickers? Flat four, it really seems more round-ish to me. Pardon my poor humor :badger: |
Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug Bahaha! Sorry, couldn’t help myself. And yeah, I made the stickers. About 5 minutes in Adobe Illustrator and five minutes to cut them out on my wife’s Silhouette Cameo cutter. I made the one below last week. It’s on a cabinet door in my shop. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...547-66907.jpeg |
Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug Damn, just when I thought this bug couldn't get any cooler... Simply incredible! |
Re: Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug Where’s that like button... |
