cammok5 03-17-2007 08:47 PM

what size tires you running and thats the cleanest k5 iv ever seen. most around hear you can put your hand threw the rockes becouse of the rust

obijuan 03-17-2007 09:19 PM

if youre askin me its got 35 bfg's with 6 inch lift. actually, remember that truck cause the crew cab will soon be towing a scale version of it! yeah its an 85 and has not a lick of rust on it. 150k miles and still cookin. thanks for liking it. it was a piece when i bought it, i have put alot of work into getting it to how you see it.

cammok5 03-17-2007 09:23 PM

man you need bigger meats. my bro had 35s on his k5 with a 3" bodylift and no cutting or rubbing. noware as nice as yours tho

obijuan 03-17-2007 09:59 PM

yeah i like my sheet metal though. i would looooove bigger tires but i would have to go 7-8 inches. not diggin that though.

cammok5 03-17-2007 10:02 PM

do you do rocks or mud.

Crawlin Around 03-17-2007 10:16 PM

Lol you think his K-5 is big, Look at this lol this is my dad and I's '75 Chevy Stepside 25'' of lift via custom arched leafsprings (no blocks), Big Block 454, 44'' Super Swampers Dana 60 front, 14 Bolt rear.

no rocks, i actually want to keep my truck within decent limits. its pretty close to how i like it right now but would love bigger meats. maybe 37. who knows. cant afford bigger meats and the 10b front doesnt like bigger than 35s gimme one of them 60s and ill put some big ol honkin tires. that first stepside is heeege man. needs 52 boggers though. then! THEN!!!

Crawlin Around 03-17-2007 10:30 PM

Keep in mind you gus the Stepside was built early '80's so 52'' Super Swampes were not an option, the 1 ton axles are perfect for that you need to go lear a lil more real world stuff, we towed a 30' house trailer with that all the time. Both were built as daily drivers.

cammok5 03-17-2007 10:32 PM

52" boggers wheigh alot and cost even more. tractors would probly work better couse the sink under all the mud to hard ground under nieth.

obijuan 03-17-2007 10:34 PM

early 80's??? no kiddin?? couldnt tell by the radical paint job. d60's here in texas are near impossible to find and if you do its 2k. ill keep my 10b for a while and get a 14ff sometime.
