Not much to report but this rig is a slow creeper with the revolver. I do run a lot of OD so it climbs well.body is magnet mounted and stays on

That’s what this thread is for, nice rig Fricker

I’ve been updating the shapra, latest changes involve shorter front links, longer rod ends on the rear links, electronics update with a revolver snubnose, micro x, and nsdrc rs800v2, and got the 2.low installed. Also did some prep work on the new body, went with a cliffhanger. Waiting on some tape and shooting to paint in the next week or so.

Very cool paint job TB. How are you liking the trenchers?

Got the carbon swap done on mine, ran it a bit today and it did great. I was able to move the Fmm forward quite a bit and didn’t have to drill the rails.
Also got a new body painted up, but needs to be fitted.
No pics from today unfortunately, too busy having some fun.

Looks great man! The FMM is an excellent choice, I love mine in my capra axled g-speed rig.

How do you like the trenchers? I've been thinking about buying some to try something different from Hyrax.

Cheers,
Gable

Paint job and trim work looks fantastic!

I recently switched all my servos to the rs800v2's. The power is fantastic, and most importantly to me, the power when battery is low. My Capra axled g-speed c2/(3 soon?), 2.2 Sporty, 2.2 pro MOA, and now my new super all have them in.

How are you liking the micro x/snubnose combo?

Also, why shorter front links?

Cheers,
Gable

Hey gabe, sorry I just saw this. The trenchers are great, I have no complaints and will absolutely be buying more. The fmm is also hooked up, I went to the 60t spur and 9t pinion. I’m running a 1:1 tcase though so it’s still a little fast.

Pics from my outing yesterday

Thank you. Glad to hear you’re enjoying the rs800v2. It is an excellent servo.

The micro x snubnose combo is ace for these lightweight builds. Big fan.

I used shorter front links to get the axle positioned better under the arch of the rails. The stock Capra links are the same size front and rear, which I felt also threw off the weight bias a bit on the Sherpa chassis.

I'll have to try the trenchers, I need to order some more wheels, as I like to have them mounted so I can swap between on the same rocks, same day, etc...

I just got a handful of the Kimbrough spurs from TGH, and I have loads of Robinson pinions here, I should try some different combos to dial in a bit better.

Looks like a fantastic spot to crawl!!

Cheers,
Gable

The rs800 is a beast, I love it.

I agree, the micro x/snubnose is key for lightweight, imo.

Good call on the links, you have an eye for details!

Gable

Finally managed to order a Sherpa chassis. The only one in stock was the expert with 15% OD. I’ll be essentially pulling the rest of my part from my 10ii class 2 comp truck.
SSD Pro44 axles (with OD)
Trx4 shocks
Hobby wing 1080
HH 16t 5-slot brushed motor

Will be running the cliffhanger body. Just need to track down bumpers.

Good day Sherpa Riggers ... i had a question for those using the dravtech shock seeing they are very popular on these flat rail rigs. My question is what length have you guys gone with mostly. i understand it will be depending on your axle choice as well ... but wanted to get a feel on what to order. any input wiil be greatly appreciated.

I use the shorts, 96mm I think they are, then I build them with a 5-6mm spacey under the piston. If you do get them, I highly suggest watching his assembly video. I’ve only ran them on portals fwiw, ar45p’s

Like @Fricker08 I used the shorts on mine, with Capra axles.
