Well I've made some progress over that last couple of weeks. I had it rolling last weekend and it drives really nice. Im sick of brazing on this thing, but Im almost done that part of it. I just have to put some more supports for panels and thats it. Then it will be sandblasted and powder coated black. The hood and sheet metal will be orange. Onward |

| Completed!!! Lots of Pics
Well this was a really, really challenging build in the sense that I only worked from three different pictures, and a HPI Rubicon body, and the drive to make something I can call my very own. No more wishing I had one of those nice scalers.......Well, Here it is. Pictures were taken in Drumheller, Alberta. The Badlands and Horseshoe Canyon. Enjoy. [/ |

Very cool! What kind of clamps are you using for the light bar? The orange looks great! |

Wow that came out sick! you really pulled it together in the end. damn nice! TSS grill looks great. love the color. on your upper link mounts you might try to do like these i just make, where the link mounts are incorperated into the bar itself. http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/1...linkbarxf7.jpg http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/6041/rearaxlekn5.jpg |

I saw those you made Stang killa. Pretty nice. I like the jig you made even better. You let me product test those for you on this rig, I'll let you know how they turn out.

The wheelbase is 15.5". You posted it up on the yota axle's I think. Thanks again for the compliments. There are a few of us going to the mountains this weekend, so I will be able to see if this can crush the competition too... Heres the pic up close. They are clodbuster clamps. I had to file them out just a little bit to get them to fit around the 3/16 tube and the hilux light bar. Friction fit. Go slow and easy on the filing. I can't wait to see this thing in person. You're a fast builder, when I saw this a month ago, it was still a bare frame. Looks incredible though!

Yeah, Im not counting on it. Its heavy, but can be a little tippy...When I make some different axle truss's like STANG KILLER SS, it should drop the ride height 3/8". Actually when you saw it, I had most everything mocked up and dissasembled again, then headed for powdercoat. The week before the buildoff ended, I was putting in 6 hours a night up untill the thursday. I have to get a bigger pinion on that puller motor, the 8 tooth on that R2 is way too low, well, on 7.4v lipo, its too slow.
