Maybe wider if I have time to steal the Super 300's out of Guido.
Since you mentioned it, I've got a set of super 300's for my next 2.2 build, how much wider do you need the track width to be for clearance at full steer?

Pepe looks good. Are you running those plastic driveshafts or planning to swap them out for something beefier?

Thanks Ric, I will get some shots once it is at the correct ride height.

If I were to run a wide tire like the Pitbulls I'd need another 1/2" of width I think. On Guido I used a set of TLT wide hexes because they slip right over the larger 300 shafts. They add 1/4" per side of width so that would be good.

The plastic shafts will stay. Those are Traxxas Maxx shafts with the steel yoke insert and they are quite strong. Those shafts have been on Pepe for the last 2 years and I ran a set on Guido in Montana. Thanks Chris.

Yup, as soon as I saw the rules allowed 4ws or dig I knew I had to have rear steer. That's a big reason I decided to run Pepe because adding rear steer to Guido would be nearly impossible. Thanks Saydee.

Hah, I remember mailing that out to you. I can't believe you still have it.
Do it Scott, build his brother. I think it looks better with 1.9's though, I'm only doing 2.2s for the performance factor. If RC4WD comes out with their 4.75" tall 1.9's soon that would make a killer build.

Thanks Muzz, Pepe has been doing work under the radar for a while so it's fun to update him and try something new.

I spent tonight rebuilding the front axle, it was a mess from 2 years of mud running. You could hear the grit in the bearings. I also got the limiting straps done, the belly clearance is 3" with the Chisels. That's going to be a bit higher with the Rok Lox but I have to maintain a little uptravel. It is what it is I guess. I need to go pick up some aluminum C's for the rear axle before I can put it back together.

I also stole the transmission out of Guido because it has the Robinson metal gears/outputs.

Sorry, no pics tonight. I'll get some tomorrow night. Thanks for following along.

With all the parts you are robbing off Guido, I think he deserves some upgrades.

Pepe looks sick!

Perfect, thanks for the info Chris. I agree, Maxx shafts are the bomb . That's all I've been running on my rigs without any issues. In the picture, your shaft looked small so I thought you were running Axial or pede shafts.

Thanks 2J, I hate robbing parts but I didn't plan this out far enough to buy parts, not that I could afford to buy all tose parts right now anyway.
I'm not sure on Guido's future. He might get downgraded to stock parts and relegated to light duty use from now on. I busted the track bar mout off the frame at the last scale comp and I'm getting tired of beating him up.

The hexes I used are the ones from the RCP Crawlers MIP TLT shafts. I had some laying around from back in the day.

Your comments are not very flattering.
