I am glad those worked out for you Dave! That short shaft took a little head scratching to get that short.

Turned out very nice what did you end up using to join the two hood halves back together?

Should be bulletproof now! Much nicer job than I could do on that, good thing you had him do it and not me.
Yep, on to steel outdrives now. I snapped both of the aluminum ones off now.

Yeah I see all the little details you must have dealt with on that one.

Thank you. I just stuck with the aluminum tape on the back. It's holding good.

After taking a solid break away from RC I decided to restore my scaler after seeing some recent photos when I took it out for the first time in over year. I still have some fine tuning to do in regards to lighting and interior details.

Before

After (so far, new paint, seats and side panels)

Thank you. It's been fun twisting those little RC wrenches again.

The JC concepts wheels are plastic and the hexes were starting to strip. I had some VP hubs. It worked out perfect because I always wanted a little more track width on this thing.

Cool rig, looks very capable, though he looks a little cross eyed.

Thank you. Haha, I hadn't noticed that. Maybe I'll have to put some little dots on the headlights to stick with the cross eyes.

I really like the job you did here. All the proportions are spot on.

Thank you for the kind feedback.

I'm thinking about ordering some AR60's for it now.

Those tires don't quite look right on there... Do you have some just a little bigger?

Finally blew the dust off this old thing today. Added Wild Willy and got the AR 60s working properly. Still crawls pretty good, back to the shelf.

Wow here's a blast from the past name. Hi Dave we used to do a lot of comps. in the Bay Area years ago, I believe the last time I saw you was at Cisco Grove long ago. Anyway hope all is well with you, great looking rig.
