you are going to need a Summit tranny for that much horsepower.

Beefed Axial tranny will take it, plastic spurs won't. Spurs are the best fuse, cheap and easy to replace. I've run my big outrunner on an Axial tranny. Spurs didn't like it, but the tranny was good. I say buy lots of spare spurs and run with it. Like we talked Gabe, I think finding the gear ratio you want will be the hardest.

i had a chance to see a crawler work with a summit trans and wasn't real impressed with its crawling ability, it has a lot of slack in it, and its heavy as hell when you include a servo to shift gears with. I'm not writing it off just yet tho

i don't have many options with a stockish (its a dna motor plate) motor plate that's for sure.

the gears in the pic are 32 pitch, the shaft on the t8 motor is a 5mm shaft, im not sure if pinion gears are offered with a 5mm hole with 48 pitch gears. anyways i ordered this http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWLY4&P=7 and what i have on there now is the 14 tooth from that pack and a 62 tooth from a traxxas slash 4x4. it meshed up perfect, so if i change the gearing any i will have to change both the pinion and the spur at the same time.

If we can get your axles over here to fix them, bring your motor plate to. We'll open up the slots for the motor bolts, maybe get a few more options.

You no, I saw that pic with the 32p gears and for some reason was thinking Axial trany with 48p gears. It's been one of those weeks already

Was thinking 2 weeks ago that a Blower Buggy 1.9 w/ Blackwells or Large Scale with TXT's would be totally cool. Now your choice of axles, esc, and motor for a 2.2 Project is exhilarating. Keep it Going!
