Default "bb-51" Scale jeep buildup, BrandO style.

As many of you know I have built a chassis for Unimoger. Now the tables have turned and he has built one for me. I am starting a buildup using his new bb-51 scale frame. It will be a jeep. All the normal goodies with some scale touches thrown in. I plan to top it off with a little BrandO style.

12.5 wheelbase
BB-51 scale frame
TLT axles
Pede tranny, 64pitch, w/ 45t lathe motor
Hacked Rubicon Jeep body w/ custom panels
Masher 2000s on HPI wheels w/ hand brothers rock rings
645mg servo
Aluminum 4" shocks w/ losi springs
Super Roostrer esc
JR radio and receiver
Unimoger scale goodies

So here it begins with a big pile of parts.

I can't wait. This truck is going to be kick A$$ if I do say so myself. Brand0 you do some of the nicest scale rigs, and now that you've teamed up with Unimoger I think this could turn out to be the most scale truck on the site by my books.

Thanks guys, I also think it is going to be cool. I am excited about building it. Ben has a nice product. Right now I am figuring out my link lengths and all. I am trying to get everything to line up with the body. I want a scale truck but I also want it to kick arse on the trail.

It's actually a roller minus 2 upper links. I plan on making them tomorrow. Then it will be time to start measuring and figuring. I have some ideas in my head on what I want. I will post some pics when it starts to look like something.

Well it's a roller. It's painfully obvious that I need some spacers. I wanted to keep the track width narrow. But the tires rub everything the way it is now. Got some on order from the crawler store. Here are the pics.

Ya, I have been sitting here all day looking at it. I have gone over all the different things I could do. Narrowing these wheels still won't give me enough spacing. I could go with Narrowed Stampede wheels. But I really liked the looks of these HPI wheels.
