Nice start, hows the detail on the body? i have been watching one of their F150 bodies for a while. but from the photo's it looks like they lack detail.

Sick 1:1! It makes me miss my '87 Pathfinder...lifted on 33s. I'd kill to have that truck back. Subscribed to see where this goes. I'd rather see a hard body hardbody, but that's just not easy. Let's see where this goes! Nice start. |

Ummmm, don't worry about my rig...you've got a stunner under your belt! Serious balls for a Nissan! Thanks for posting that vid. I was happy ripping the clutch with my 6 banger at 5000 rpms to make the tires bark! Just take your time and enjoy the process. It'll come together with a whole lot of trial and error and spare parts. Best advice...learn as much as you can from all the info on the forum about the available parts. Google the crap out of everything and read the best builds. You'll see trends, learn what others have done, and eventually come up with what you want. If you can build a 1:1, you can build a scaler. |

Old USPS came again, with a set of HPI wite beadlocks and some 2.2 Mickey Thompsons, already siped them to look just like the ones on my truck. And they have brand new Crawler Innovations 5.5 double deuce firm inner and soft outer with soft outer tuning ring on front and for the rear i've got 5.5 double deuce firm inner and medium outer with medium outer tuning ring.

Gonna try a Dynamite 20T brushed motor, hell i only paid $18.00 including shipping on ebay. Want a higher turn motor for this project because i want a little speed with this thing, kinda like a rock racer. Also gonna start out with a 9 tooth pinion first and see how she goes.

couldn't wait, had to see what she looked like with new tires and wheels. These HPI wheels mounted up really nice to the beads, seems to hold beads really tight.

Have you mocked up the body at all with the 2.2s? I can tell already that it is going to be way out of scale to your 1:1. The 1.9 Claws are big, but the 2.2s are huge!!! In my experience, the lure of bigger tires can overshadow the sense of a smaller tire. Give it a thought. |

It fits pretty close to size comparision to my 1.1 tires to body, they might be just an itty bit bigger tire to body but not by much, the tires on my 1.1 are huge 39" tall by 18.5 wide on 14" wide rims.

Measure again with a different ruler! Your 1:1 is a truck sitting on big tires. Your build is a truck sitting on HUGE tires. The difference a 1/4 of an inch makes in the scale world is huge. If you work purely off the numbers (1/10 scale build body), your tires should be 3.9 tall. If the body is more 1/8 scale, it would be larger. Either way, the 2.2 claws are 5.75 tall. At 1/10 scale, that's 57 inches. Ok, that's enough math out of me. I vote for 1.9 claws. They're still big, but not too big. |

I think the new x2 1.9 claws would be perfect the 2.2s look huge for that body.

x4 on the 1.9 TTC Claws. They will be a better height and the 1.9 wheels will look more scale then 2.2's. The 2.2 wheels make it look like your rolling on 20"+ wheels.

Nice 1:1 and I love the TBG body. But I agree, the 2.2 are way too big. To be close to what is on the 1:1, I would go with the 4.19" Baja Claws RC4WD has. In 1/10 that would be closer to the 39" tire for sure. |
