Default F-350 TTC Mattzilla

I'm gonna post this build that was done a few months ago by my man Lue. This was my very first chassis from him and still my favorite. So here goes. It is going to be an F-350 trail style with a 14.75 WB and AX-60 axles with wideners. I'll skip most of the small talk, since the photos will say enough and my wife doesn't like it when I talk. There may be new posts every hour.

So the chassis made it from Cali to Arkesaw in rekord tyme. And this is what I was able to do to in the past five minutes. Yea right. The links at this time are solid steel threaded to alloy RC4WD aluminum ball ends. Steel drive shafts are what I started with and still have to this day. The R2 tranny with the 2200kV RC4WD motor are what I started to play with. And I had to use the aluminum wheels with the wide beadlocks and 2.2 Mickeys. The WB is 14.75".

There is a lot to change in the future of this post, which is my past few months with this truck. It will progress quickly. I suppose many will like that if they are impatient.

I originally mounted the servo on the chassis. It worked for a while. The knuckles were high clearance at this time. It allowed less drop from the servo to the knuckles and turn pretty well. The only problem was the wear ont he ball ends of the 4 links at this WB.

I've also added 30mm of width to the axles.

And the rest of the electronics are in for a test.

Time for paint. I like white on my 1:1 vechiles. Probably cause I don't like washing them. But I have gotten to where I like red. I also tried out a few different wheels.

Time for some lights. This is going to be my first run at some lights. And carving out some Delrin too. So this is going to be my prototype.

Well, we finally are moved into the new house. And I have had a little time to replace a few parts on the truck. The wheels are one addition. And I've also had some time to add a couple small scratches to the body. If you look closely, you might be able to see them.

I'll post more on the changes and changes to come in the future. I now only have weekly access to the internet. But I do have a huge about 6 acres of hill and a dry creek in my back yard. A course must be built, along with a short course track for me and my boys.
